The OCH is very entertaining (as a player bored of making vana runs most of any other thing) I found it very fun and challenging, but the reward in crowns is less compared to the vana runs. and the lack of tokens to get the weapons make it even less rewarding, the amount gained and the time/effort made make it feel like a loss and this takes away the playability factor, instead of a alternative to not run the same maps over and over again to get crowns in FSC
in vana we can get 30k cr selling the items.

< in a normal vana run we got from 7000 cr to 8000 cr + 3 tokens with a cost of 1000 each
> in the OCH run´s we are making 5000 cr or 6000 cr + a nontradeable material

in ten runs we get
FSC x10 = 70000 (average)cr + 30000 cr for seling the items =100000
OCH x10 = 50000 cr or 60000

I´m not saying, give us more reward than vana, We're asking for similar payout. (it can still be less but not the half)

thats for the reward but talking in general i´m ok with players playing diferent maps than the rest of the community they pay and they win that but all players should be able to get all the weapons. the weapons in a game are very important, not being this available to everyone, the game turns in a pay to play and that, over unfair, is the reason why many MMORPG fails and lose lots of players, with decreasing the number of players the active players get bored by loneliness and leave

--------> My suggestion is simple, add tokens to get the weapons to let us sell them or unbind them and sell them to other players, this way the players who don´t payed for the dlc can get the weapons in the same way they can get the fang of vog in the AH and then every one is happy :P

the amount of tokens per run and the same cr collected is still less reward but it dosen´t feel like a loss in comparison with FSC

or kept all the same and put more cr in the gremlins :L

I discussed this in another thread and the players with the dlc feel the same: http://forums.spiralknights.com/es/node/46044#comment-301275
also other posts with the same args

let the weapons as a mision reward, it can be cool if we find them next to the mask in the floor to take the the first time and later we found the tokens

Ill say what i said before.

Oh wow, so you get exclusive P2P only weapons which are OP in LD and are granting you ability that no other weapon has (pushing other players - afk problem solved), you get exclusive helmet which you can even sell for extra profit also you get extra prestige that in 'future' will be grant you additional benefits, you get acces to exclusive content that no other F2P without using steam can access, yet you complain about crowns income on those lvls? And you even want P2P exclusive tokens?

Give a finger and they will take whole hand...

And please, stop with those 'honorable' arguments that you are suggesting it becouse you want to other F2P players to get weapons. It just makes you look silly.

Not quite so imbalanced...

...if you consider that you're getting two free (good) 5* weapons out of the deal, plus the lower-star ones if you care about such things. If those bad boys started at 2*, you'd be paying somewhere on the order of hundreds of thousands of crowns for them... each. I'm sure you know that you need to run Vana a LOT if you're trying to make a new 5* weapon from scratch.

That said, because you get them right away, the utility of playing the mission subsequent times drops of REALLY sharply, especially considering that it's arguably harder than FSC. I think the craftable masks are an excellent compromise in this regard, and am definitely puzzled as to why the weapons aren't obtained the same way. I'm also very puzzled as to why they aren't unbind- and tradeable, since there's definitely demand for it and the process is actually more expensive (because someone bought that CE!) than just buying the mission:

800 CE to make a spare weapon and 4000 CE to unbind it ~ $14 spent, plus whatever is spent by the player buying it
$6 to buy the mission and 800 CE ~ $8.50 spent

...it's really bizarre that they aren't tradeable, because everyone wins more that way. People who bought the mission have something to make money with, people who didn't can still get the weapons, and OOO makes more money.

so

@Asukalanforum
I guess you still don´t understand the suggestion let other F2P players obtain the weapons
Sell the yelm dont give prestige and the mision dont give addiotional prestige each time so you can only win prestige one time, and it isn´t a lot of prestige....
Craft and unbind the yelm cost a lot of CE so to sell it the seller need put it in a high price, not all can pay the high amount of cr in the AH, so the actual way to buy it is only for a rich players.
I don´t care the weapons in the pvp I´m suggesting other thing instead of weapon balance and if the weapons do something don´t wanted in pvp the devs gonna fix it soon like the problem with the vortex bomb.

I guess, you never buyed somethin like other game or any DLC for other games, when you buy somethin to play the re-playability/reusability is very important otherwise you will not have a desire to use it or buy more

(the saying goes, "Gives them your hand and they take the elbow." give them the finger refers to show them the middle finger ... at least in my country)

@Arquebus
I understand the point about the weapons as a mission reward but the reward system is new and i guess t3 misions gonna have similar rewards, considering we can only get the weapons once time and they are unsellable they dont give any profit to us, outside the first run and the untradable material causes the same after 3 runs any one who buyed the DLC dont have any interest in play it again outside of help a friend or something like that
Now I see you understand the problem with the weapons and the profit, craft the weapons and unbind them instead of buy them with tokens gonna make them cost a lot in the AH more than a fang of vog and with a simmilar price of a shadow lair armor.
tell me if adding only tokens as a plus for the mision (lets say 3 tokens) making one weapon for 30 tokens, is too high reward for the mision? really?

------------------------
a shadow key cost 1800 CE thats a similar price with the DLC, the DLC cost 5.95 and with 4.95 we can buy 1600 enegy.
so in the future I guess the F2P gonna be able to buy a key to do the mision similar to shadow lairs, now if you collect the CE to buy the key and the reward is only the material to craft the mask thats gonna be enought for you?
maybe the devs only gonna do a shadow lair version of the OCH. with every one happy with the current shadow key system that gonna be enough

+1

I support this on the simple fact that T3 Operation Crimson Hammer is quickly turning into a ghost town. Everyone did a few runs, crafted their masks, and then went back to farming FSC since it gives a better pay out. At least make the expansion missions a decent place to find a party and farm.

The new Vana mission is only going to make things even worse, now players can be guaranteed a substantially better pay out for the same energy used. Kiss those random T3 OCH parties goodbye. Make the rewards similar to those from FSC, OCH deserves to be farmed too! They really need to address this problem with the next expansion mission if not adjusting the rewards on this one. This game needs a good T3 alternative to FSC badly.

:D

Thats my point but some people don´t understand. we buy a alternative and get a lesser thing, the maps are great, fun, challenging but they are surpassed for a tiny factor. In fact i don´t care the weapons, I only buy the DLC because I was boring of constant vana´s, sure the weapons are cool but I never asked for that.
As a bomber I know the shadow bomb was needed but make it unable for half bomber population is a lot unfair and the hammer is fun but crap at the same time...

today the DLC got a update so this post is irrelevant until a few runs (or only one run to se the new stuff)

28 days later...

So this friday I give a try to OCH, after seen the nerf in reward from the misions giving more profit than it should, i got the idea of OCH giving at most a similar payout like FSC something like 6k vs the 7,5k from vana to discover something awfull... OCH was nerfed too and now gives 4K cr... IN T3!!!
the JK from misions gives 3k, from the terminal gives 6k... in the mision they are less maps compared to OCH so is a lesser spend of energy going there.... so why?

I know, to fix something that costs money would make F2P cry about they dont receiving love, but you can just make a silent fix...
the actual OOO concept for DLC %&/%&#$% so hard... please in any later DLC dont use the actual model... please... just, put the tokens system to get the weapons and a reward comparable with the other in game (free) bosses.
