Transfer of unique properties to crafted items

Question: If I have a base item needed for a recipe, and the base item has a unique property (example - prismatech alchemer with increased damage vs. Fiend: High) and I use it to craft a new weapon, is the unique property transferred? Does anyone have any experience with that?

And if not, maybe I should have put this in the suggestions subforum.

Followup question: Is the firotech alchemer more trouble than it's worth? I like the idea of setting enemies on fire, but I could see that backfiring (ha) pretty easily, especially in group play.

With the current recipes,

With the current recipes, variants on a supplied item will not transfer to the newly created item. Recipes do support this behavior, but we're still working out how to best present this to the player. So look for it sometime in the future.

Sounds cool! Maybe I will

Sounds cool! Maybe I will hold off on crafting with that gun for now.

I use the firotech, and I've

I use the firotech, and I've never actually seen the fire transfer to a player. Or to another enemy, in fact. Each upgrade does give you an extra 20 damage at level 10 though, so there's that. :)

You should fear the flames.

I so wish this forum was like

I so wish this forum was like most others with a report feature. Then they'd ban all the people who necro threads and it would make these forums SOOOOO much better.

...

You... you necroed a thread.. from over a year ago. You... YOU MONSTER.

@Nordlead

Oh my god, he bumped an old thread! These people are clearly worse than Hitler...

Grow the Nordlead, who cares if a post is 'necroed'

Kill it. Kill it. Make it dead.

This thread belongs in the graveyard because it is not longer accurate. The future is now. UV's can transfer up the crafting chain as long as you leave the:

[x] Transfer Unique Variants

Box checked (which is the default).

http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Unique_variant

This tread needs to be killed. Its not that bumping old threads is always bad, sometimes it is better to continue an old thread then to start a completely new one. This is clearly not one of those times though and Damastaa clearly did not mean for anything productive to come from this bump.
