I just wanted a nice little cove to upload Spiral Knights art, but if you leave a nice comment and a reference of your Knight, I might draw it! ^v^
But if people start being rude or take my art for granted I'm outta here! Critiques are welcome tho but don't be harsh or expect much because I've only ever drawn one Knight ovo
I don't play Spiral Knights often, as my knight is basically in all starting armor hahaha /v/
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGANOTHERTRANSFORMICEPLAYEROMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGEEEEE
That aside, I really like the anime-style of coloring and all (refreshingly simple compared to the 50k cr payments people want for 50 billion shades of texture and colors lolol) that. Even the background's pretty cool.
Cooleo.
The simplicity of the art gives it a nice textural feel, and the background and rocks remind me of an art style which I can't quite place... It's great! I'd ask for a drawing, but I don't have the time to write up a plain reference for the looks I'd want beyond ones I'm using/have used in RP's -- and those are mainly humanoid and/or extremely detailed.
For now, I'll just watch as your "cove" unfolds.
Oooh I love your art! Do you want to an art trade, maybe? I'll draw your knight, and you can choose your favorite from here --> http://sta.sh/22fhkt97auul (my personal favorite is Dark, if you can't decide. xD)
@EB
I'm wanting to use a lot more textures going forward, but you can't take a quick screenshot of your character? I understand though, if you want something else drawn which you don't have.
@Feline
thank you so much ^-^! wait how did you know i played transformice? I'm okay with drawing humans but the mice on the transformice forum were very mean to me so I left; I posted a message to Antworker about getting a clearer reference for the drawing
@lizzi
My Knight is a complete noob though, it's hardly my own because it's just a premade set right out of the character creation screen. I'd like a to wait a while to update and customize him before we do that art trade if that's fine by you!
q.q
didn't realize transformice was such a big deal
Says the person who played it about a year ago
@Inanimo
That's perfectly fine by me! I'll PM you my Tumblr info so you can message me there when you have updated refs! Or you could post them directly to this thread, I'll likely still be lurking around. :>
I can't really receive in-game messages since there's something wrong with my computer and the game (curse you Java Binary crashes!), but if you go back a page or two, you'll see my Knight's actual outfit. It'll be a bunch of screenies of the same Knight sho...yeah.
But really, have a whack at any type of style you want to draw! Always great to see another great artist come by here :D
If you have any trouble for references on the armor, it'd be like :
But blue instead of green (any shade is fine!)
Again, also blue instead of green.
@Vinny
Hmm, how come you never get this excited when you see my art? I swear you, Thinslayer and a large portion of the internet have some kind digital art fetish disease... didn't even say 'thank you' when I made you something for the secret Santa...
@OP
Good art, sadly the devs of this game is creating contents slower than its fan base can create fan arts, stick around, I think you will find SK's aesthetics interesting.
I did for a few people that did traditional art back a few years ago, but the ratio of good traditional artists vs. good digital artists is huge, and more often than not, I just assume that traditional artists are usually amateurs.
But sorry I didn't say "thank you", sho...thank you. Yeah, as an artist who mostly rolls with traditional, you've got my thanks for your hard work being turned in on-time. You've got a talent, I'll admit.
Welp I tried, @Feline-Grenadier
Antworker's request
Also whats all this talk about traditional vs digital artists? I'd do traditional art more but I don't have a scanner u^u. Also @Midnight-Dj, fishing for compliments on another person's thread is unbecoming or at least keep banter to a private setting..
The artwork looks fantastic! Have you considered creating an account on Deviantart and uploading your future Spiral knight pictures up there? There's no doubt you'll get lots and lots of views (which is what we all aim for, amiright?)
Keep up the great work!
@Fighting-polygon I would but dA is so detached and while people favorite my things, they never leave me comments or interact in any way. It's so dehumanizing :c That's why I like forums better.
That's unfortunate to hear Inanimo :c But dA is one of the few places to get your art advertised. It'd be a shame to see these efforts unseen. Best get it out into the world! (and possibly onto the Fanart Friday posts)
Because I have a new character which I believe can only gain the proper effect by having a fabulous artist like yourself draw it.
Her name is... Tifa Pi.
@Ember-Break There may be a problem with your design...
Clearly according to section F. 76 of the T.I.F.A. Handbook, any and all malfunctions while food and/or "other substances" are on Tifa is the customer's responsibility!
All explosions are, of course, included as a "malfunction". No matter how large and/or radioactive they are.
Thanks for the drawing! I love it! :D
