Does anyone know what that second part of Acheron is supposed to be? When I first started playing I had thought it was a dual blade and combos would be different, but it's just for show. Even though it serves no purpose combat wise, I'm still curious as to what it's supposed to be. What's the story behind that part you carry with your shield hand?

The acheron is crafted from a brandish.
You should notice that it is only half a brandish blade. You hold the other half in your shield hand and appears to be wrapped in such a manner similar to katana sheathes.

Sheathed Acheron if anyone was wondering. Sheath is a bit too small for this blade and... erm, like not made for it.

It would be darn interesting if the sword's swing animations were changed to that of an ioidoka's.
I'm guessing though that the sword and its related usage is possibly part of an Isoran bujutsu that utilizes the weight of the "sheathe" to balance the Knight's movements, allowing controlled, precise, and deadly attacks.

A sword sheath. although you don't really sheath your sword so I think it's just for show.
