Polaris or Argent Peacemaker.

I wanted to ask which one would be better. I had a polaris in my old account. I started playing after a long time and now i saw that the pulsar had 2new versions. I mainly need a good gun for FSC and Wildfire and Permafroster would be pretty much useless. So now only two guns come to my mind for FSC. Polaris and Argent Peacemaker. Both do speacial damage to slags. Now all i need is someones advice
Thanks

Thing is, while I love my gigawatt for general clockworks and most missions for a utility weapon (turrets, kats, fiends), it's really not so good for FSC. FSc is too full of small rooms that don't allow for pulsar shots to expand, IMO, at least in the places you would want it a lot. Maybe tacked on as a third weapon, but a blitz and a brandish should be your first choices if you just have two weapon slots. If no one else in the party has one, a shiver can be sued in place of the blitz. I typically run with 3 weapon slots, in FSC a shiver, electron vortex, and a voltedge (best combo with a vortex, although combuster has more DPS without the vortex combo).
I suppose that would mean the AP, but that doesn't have great damage either. I'm not sure if you are using it for main damage or as a sidearm for swords though. If you are going gunner, you want to choose among blitz, iron slug, and the regular and shock elemental alchemers. If you are going as a swordie, I don't think you really need either one for FSC.

You want an elemental gun for FSC? Why aren't you considering the alchemers? They do more damage than pulsars or antiguas, once you learn how to land the ricochets.
Pulsars are really crowd-control weapons. You use them to shape a crowd of monsters --- for example, clearing a path or pushing them into a bomb. Antiguas are mediocre guns for players who want to mash buttons as fast as possible.
All of this has been discussed in countless threads. Try searching Google for something like "elemental gun site:forums.spiralknights.com" or "antigua alchemer site:forums.spiralknights.com" (without the quotation marks).

"So now only two guns come to my mind for FSC[- p]olaris and argent peacemaker."
Blitz needle
Plague needle
Volcanic pepperbox
Storm driver
Nova driver
Hail driver
Arcana
Savage tortofist
Omega tortofist
Iron slug
Callahan
Mixmaster
Honestly I'd much prefer the bulk of those over either polaris or argent peacemaker. Blitz, plague and pepperbox (which would be a bit better against Vanaduke's mask and gun puppies) are especially useful against Vanaduke and certainly not useless against undead, the drivers are all incredibly powerful for how safe they are and arcana is good at finishing enemies and strafing. The two tortofists are incredibly good at dealing with huge numbers of slags and will work somewhat on Vanaduke as well, meaning that you wouldn't necessarily have to take blitz needle with you for an easy fight. Iron slug and callahan are good for their area damage and will work well against the slags. Callahan is better for the beasts and any trojans you happen to feel like hitting, while iron slug is better for the red rovers you'll encounter. Mixmaster is like an improved version of arcana that is slightly more awkward to use but also a good deal more rewarding. Overall, mixmaster is probably the best gun for someone like you and you can't have it.
Forgetting those, polaris is better at keeping enemies at bay in corridors, dealing with devilites and generally harassing enemies in larger open areas while argent peacemaker is better at breaking blocks, hitting switches, and sneaking in damage. Polaris is generally more useful in FSC, but also has the potential to make people hate you should you abuse it without considering where your team is and all of that jazz.
That being said, these are all at least somewhat viable guns and this entire thread is really a matter of opinion. I've probably brought all of them to "serious" FSC runs at some point, and they're all a pleasure to collect. So if you really want to use argent peacemaker or polaris, don't feel like you're going to be drastically worse off for it because in the long run no one is going to care one way or the other. On the other hand, you might not want to limit yourself to just looking at those two guns either.

If I had to pick one of the two, I'd say Argent Peacemaker, but evidently I'm quite biased towards it.
The AP is great for pulling aggro in case a zombie happens to be standing on some sort of hazard (Which is like 60% of FSC). Its damage is respectable enough, assuming you aren't using it as your sole DPS weapon. Also one of the biggest benefits of the AP over something like a Nova Driver is that you don't need any sort of bonus for it to get good results. It naturally has fast attack speed, large clip (so weapon switching shenanigans are completely unnecessary), you never use its charge so CTR is useless, and it has a natural damage bonus vs Undead.
I don't like the Polaris in FSC for a few reasons. The main reason is that FSC is crowded. Polaris requires you to have some space to let shots expand. If I need AOE control, I'd rather have something like a Divine Avenger, which can carve out space in point-blank range, and use its spectacular charge to sweep large crowds off their feet. If you have the space to let Polaris shots expand, then you have the space to simply kite around. The most difficult parts of FSC (other than maybe the Rocket Puppy Room) will swarm you with multiple enemies at close range.

While it does only normal dmg, Valiance is also a decent option.

Agree with Traevelliath, about the only time I wish I had a pulsar in FSC is if a noob wakes up the Rocket Puppy. LOL

IMO ,argent peacemaker is mainy for aiming 1 person (like in lockdown u will need it) . Don't forget its got some high firepower.(im not sure about the charge attack's eagle. Maybe it does splash dmg.)Polaris is all AOE, n if ur thinking to be endgame , u might wanna choose polaris due to the huge hordes of zombies in FSC. P.S Polaris is also useful in lockdown. It has slow bullets tho.

Didn't we just say that polaris isn't useful in FSC? :P
If you're looking for safety and power look no further than the polaris. That gun is heaven sent for soloists like me. The polaris offers great crowd control, it is an offense-defense weapon in one neat and cool package. In the hands of a careful gunner it is a weapon like no other.
*consider that this weapon can disrupt turrets with great ease.
But... and this is a big but, you need to consider its usage when you have a team to consider. A lot of melee folks hate polaris spammers who disregard team play. As good as the weapon is, Polaris can spell disaster if the user pushes enemies to and fro in the wrong directions.
