Your best/most fun Basic/General Loadouts

Disclaimer: This post contains a lot of statistics many players may already know about; rather this may act as a gateway to further understanding for players not yet at that level.

So I've been playing SK for a while (about 2 and a half years? Not as in total play time, but rather how long I've been familiar with the game) and I have a bad habit of jumping around from weapon to new weapon before I fully complete a loadout, as I'm sure if I'd stuck to my originally planned loadout (discluding trinkets, pets, anything 'extra'. Just the basics e.g. 2 weapons, armor + shield, no (planned) UVs.), I'd have it maxed out with maybe a third weapon lying around.

That being said, for a long time I've only had fragments of experience with a variety of things (i.e. switching from Leviathan and Hail Driver lines to Sudaruska and Graviton lines, and more), mostly because honestly it's pretty hard to stay dedicated to maxing out even a single weapon, mostly so if you're not sure about how much you'll be relying on said weapon within loadouts if/when you upgrade. As a result of said habit, I've come to really favor all-around useful loadouts because I'm not the type of player that has 4 different loadouts for FSC runs and 16 loadouts for Lockdown ready to be deployed the moment situations change.

Now that that's out of the way, back to the topic: Your most fun/best 'raw'/general use loadouts. In most threads I've dug into, there's always some mention of a trinket or a luck-based UV, or the combined use of a Combuster and a Blitz Needle, or a Combuster and 2 other situational weapons.
I'm not into that. I don't like how basic and easy, albeit useful, the play style of Brandish + Blitz is*. I want to enjoy utilizing somewhat reliable weapons. This doesn't necessarily mean harder loadouts; it implies fun yet effective ones.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> tl;dr guidelines: <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

2 weapons, may include UVs but should not rely on them.
Any armor, though same as above regarding UVs. May be mixed and matched with other armors.
Any shield. Same as above regarding UVs, but that shouldn't be a problem here.
No trinkets.
It's not absolutely required to include Battle Sprites, but I'd be really interested in seeing what roles they play in your loadouts.
Short description of loadout's uses/play style.
Preferably a description of why you enjoy the loadout, unless you don't and you just find it effective.

lol here it comes

To start off, here's my first ever fully 5-starred 'basic' loadout, which I still find pretty viable for soloing:
Weapon 1: Barbarous Thorn Blade (ASI low)
Weapon 2: Polaris
Shield: Barbarous Thorn Shield
Armor: Vog Cub set
Battle Sprite: Maskeraith

Short description: Multi-functioning toothpick and knockback-based retreating loadout. BTB charge becomes more useful in more ways than one may presume.

Long-ass description: I may be biased to this because of my play style, but overall the very least it's done for me is kept me alive longer while I focus on sword attacks. Vog Cub + BTB + BTS takes care of pretty much everything except Slime and Construct. However, most constructs you need to worry about are the low mobility ones (Lumbers, Retrodes, Gun Puppies) or ones that already have pretty low base HP, which means you're gonna have an easy time keeping the slow ones away, and won't always have to land distance shots with the Polaris to take care of Scuttlebots. The only real threat that seems to arise from Constructs in opposition to your Polaris are Mecha Knights, which are common nuisances for a variety of loadouts but can nonetheless be dealt with accordingly though somewhat painstakingly. Now as for Slimes, I cannot vouch for this loadout. To put it simply, if slimes are a problem for you, then this loadout will be absolutely no help. As with many sword-gun hybrid loadouts, Polaris is there as a handy self-support weapon to keep enemies away if you've taken too much damage for swordplay; not as a full reliability weapon.

And for any other situation, Maskeraith is a big help for when you're just not dealing enough damage or if you need to hide from a mob and get that Polaris space to keep them at bay. Admittedly this is incredibly spammy at times but it's fun (arguably), it works, and it keeps you alive with no recoil on your part.

You may argue this loadout contradicts what I mentioned previously about the loadouts being tedious*, but as I said, I may be biased to this one because of my play style; I find it really fun to "dance" with enemies, i.e. bumping them away right before they attack, yet quickly coming back to deal those quick blows with the Thorn Blade, or any type of circling around an enemy while being able to deal damage. I just find Combuster + Blitz and the like to be extremely basic in play style.

About 95% of my loadouts look like this when I'm not using slot upgrades-

Armor: Chaos/Seerus/Black kat/occasionally volcanic demo
Sprite: Whatever I feel like using, usually maskeraith
Shield: Some defensive shield
Weapons: Whatever I feel like using

Description: I get tons of stats from black kat/chaos and then I kill everything using my weapons. I'm fairly decent at dodging things and using remedy capsules, so statuses aren't much of an issue most of the time. When statuses are a problem, I use seerus or sometimes volcanic demo to dodge the status.

Mine

Weapon 1: Obsidian Edge or Cold Iron Vanquisher
Weapon 2: Volcanic Pepperbox or Callahan
Shield: Omegaward
Helm: Perfect Mask of Seerus
Armor: Vog Cub Coat
Battle Sprite: Seraphynx (Sword CTR med boost)

Short description: This set is built around adaptability and against the flow weapons.

Long-ass description: The obsidian edge is the general go to weapon of the set against all enemies except Fiend and Undead. The CIV and VP are both for high charge attack damage however the VP can also be used as safe chip damage and status spread with the regular attack. Callahan is made to pin down fiends with the regular attacks and destroy beasts with the charge (fun if you know how). The shield is build to spread status when needed and resists huge threats. The armor combo allows for a heavily defensive hybrid set. Seraphynx is made to support allies with the heart attack when they are below 50%, Lockdown and weaken enemies with the Disentegration ray, bypass traps and bullets with the shield while maxing charge speed.

The poison is for countering healers, Fire for spreading damage and keeping healers busy, Stun for keeping things manageable.

I don't actually like it when

I don't actually like it when people write big wall's of text. When I look at it, I don't feel like reading it.

I'll just write down my inventory. I don't have much, as I rarely play these day's.

Armour's- Vog cub coat, Skolver coat.
Helmet/s- Vog cub cap.
Swords- Glacius, BTB, Gran Fuast.
Guns- Argent Peacemaker, Blitz Needle.
Shields- Swiftstrike Buckler, Crest Of Almire.
Pet- Maskeraith, DMG Vs. Undead Medium.

UV's- Glacius DMG VS. Fiend low.
Blitz Needle- ASI Low.
Swiftstrike Buckler- Increased Normal Defence Low.

I usually take Skolver with Vog cub cap, my Glacius and Blitz to Vana. I only run Vana in PvE mostly, sometimes Arcade.

My LD loadout is Glacius, BTB, GF. Skolver coat and Vog cub cap (For ASI.)

Chaos and Black kat set -

Chaos and Black kat set - switch out for a defensive/shock resist armor piece if a level is giving you trouble and swap in a gun damage trinket. SSB for shield.

Iron slug and:

vortex bomb and elemental/shadow coverage alchemer or other gun (looking at you, mixmaster)

Vortex switched out for a valiance or coverage blaster/antigua for clicky fun. Not bad damage when solo, good utility.

Gun sling up those clockworks. I've been experimenting with tortoguns and they're slightly interesting.

Weapon 1: Polaris (undead

Weapon 1: Polaris (undead med+construct low)
Weapon 2: Blitz Needle (CTR med+undead VH)
Shield: Crest Of Almire
Armor: Black Kat Cowl+chaos cloak
Battle Sprite: Masky

Sure this loadout may be mainstream, but usually as a third weapon id use dread venom striker, as its good for just pulling out now and again for circling around turrets and that enemy that's way to close for comfort.

I'm not at 5* yet, so here's just all the stuff I WANT to get, kept in the realm of plausibility.

Swords: Gran Faust for most non-FSC situations, Divine Avenger for Undead and Fiends
Guns: Nova Driver and Iron Slug
Shield: Crest of Almire (unless I can acquire Snarbolax armor, then I'll switch to BTS)
Helm: Skolver Cap
Armor: Vog Cub Coat
Sprite: Seraphynx w/Hearty Boost

The short of it: Balanced loadout, well-rounded offense and defenses and Medium damage + ASI

The long: I picked the Sealed Swords because I love how they handle, and GF or any Shadow weapon is a good multi-purpose tool because Constructs typically appear alongside Gremlins, who are resistant to Elemental attacks. DA's charge can murder crowds, especially in the FSC Slag arenas. Both of the Sealed Swords are great at crowd control with their excellent range, and GF's Curse can be very helpful. Nova Driver wrecks Gun Puppies and Howilitzers with good aim, and Iron Slug is awesome for the charge alone and that Stun chance. I went with Crest of Almire as the Shield because with a Skolver/Vog armor set, you won't be getting any Shadow defense, and since Shadow damage and Fire is so prevalent in FSC, naturally I'd want as much resistance toward both as possible. A Skolver/Vog Cub set is fairly balanced because I get both a damage and attack speed buff without having to sacrifice defenses (unlike BTS and Swiftstrike). Seraphynx's Heart Attack is great for healing dying knights whenever it actually works; if everyone is in good shape, Angelic Aura is OK for defending everyone, but it only lasts a few short seconds, so I usually end up just using Heart Attack no matter what, actually. Since sprites' status resist and defense perks give very minor buffs and offensive buffs aren't good for my... defensive playstyle (translation: I suck at not getting hit) Hearty Boost is therefore the best one to use.

My (future) loadout

I'm not fully 5-starred yet, but here's my planned set -

Radiant Silvermail
Dragon Scale Helm
Dread Skelly Shield
Cold Iron Vanquisher
Volcanic Pepperbox
Drakon

Reasons: 1 elemental resistor, 2 shadow resistors, 2 pierce resistors, 1 normal resistor. A bit of defense for every damage type, so that's good.

The Vanquisher - Well, sometimes - ZOMBIEKILLITKILLITKILLIT
Oh, and Spookats and Howlitzers. I generally don't mind giving up a little bit of attack power to get rid of those things more quickly.

Volcanic Pepperbox - Instant destruction of multi-hit blocks and large rows of blocks. And FIIIRRRREEE. It's useful to be able to burn stuff.

Drakon: Just an old noob choice of a noob. Can't get a different sprite any time soon, so I'm stuck with it. Still, it's at least okay.

Rhons
Current Loadout

Black Kat Hood + Cloak (Three Star)
Swiftstrike Buckler
Master Blaster x 2 (one must have a different UV to work)

Reason: Versatile and powerful with maximum Damage Bonus and high Attack Speed Increase.

I never really liked Blasters, but when I Dualed them, they became so much fun to shoot at a high speed. Proper Gunslinger Knowledge helped me make them extremely proficient at any situation. I would have picked Dual Radiant Pulsars, since they are my loadout for DaN, but then I would be accused of being a noob for using Pulsars.

My all around loadouts always

My all around loadouts always have the same armor/helm and shield, but the weapons differ.

Armor is Chaos Cloak, and Helmet is Chaos Cowl.
Shield is blizzbreaker shield.

My general weapon loadouts include: Combuster+Iron Slug, Iron Slug+Freezing Atomizer, Acheron+Combuster, and Iron Slug+Nothing.
Usually I go with Combuster+Iron Slug though, with combuster for close range and slug for long range.

Ready for anything.

Sacred Falcon Sentinel Helm

Skolver Coat

Crest of Almire

Leviathan Blade (Gremlin Med)

Valiance (Construct Med)

Helm defends against elemental and gives gun bonuses, armor defends against piercing and gives sword damage bonus, shield defends against shadow, and every piece of defensive gear defends against normal damage.

The Leviathan Blade and Valiance deal normal damage, which is good for every situation.
