Combat is has always been a physical and a mental battle i suppose. Be the example Sweety, and don't play yourself down. You're good :)
What why
So if I insult you now, you can add:
I complain on the forums about people hurting my feelings = I get insulted even more
Sweetsu, you're a noob AT using, UV abusing, combo spammer.
/me teabag Sweetsu
/me laugh
/me laugh
/me laugh
I'm guessing this happens mainly in US random lockdown, Sweets?
I forgot to add that I don't really care, ignoring is just cause I won't bother with that kind of people. But there's always a point when it's just enough.. right?
I was expecting these posts, can't believe it's almost exactly what I thought. And yeah I know the thread is kinda pointless.
@Dutch: lol don't give me that bs
It's been going for 4 years, I turned out alright!
..Right?
Actually this thread is anything but pointless, it's good for you. It's an outlet, a way to get rid of frustration. It's certanly the better alternative from suddenly yelling at a guy ingame and getting yourself banned. The fact is most people you'll run into will be impatient and complain a lot. In some instances you'll stumble upon some decent people. Surround yourself with those normal non-complainy people, play with them and you'll have a nicer experience.
It's a competitive game. People will always make up reasons why you're a bad player and shouldn't have beaten them. Personally I try to play in a way that's considered respectable by most (no AT, no status spam, no SS in most cases) but people give me crap for how I play anyway. I can understand that people get frustrated when they die to bogus stuff like statuses and AT but at a certain point they're just grasping for excuses because they can't handle being outplayed.
Always remember that no one is entitled to your free time and how you spend it in LD or SK in general and that if you're outplaying someone they either aren't as good as they might think they are or you're redefining the metagame. Given that everyone has been using toothpicks since roughly when the queen of England was a lass I doubt it's gonna be the latter very often.
You might not realize it at first, but when you are insulted, players who insult you are jealous. The people that insult you have such an ego that they don't wanna break, and when they die in Lockdown, they hurt their ego. As a result, they'll do anything to intimidate the people who are better than them at Lockdown who keep on defeating them.
Always know that you're better than players who insult you. Never forget. Your skill surpasses theirs.
Now now everyone, this player, Rebel-Ex, is jealous. His intentions are to intimidate me, yet I feel nothing from his weakened stance.
Such a noob comment, only a noob would say that
Shut up Rebel-Ex, Anderson tries to help Sweetsu.
Look at this guy using big words like "sentry", what a geek. Everybody, let's shun this guy for being smart! Lmaoo
What's "shunning"?
Also I don't need to be dumb to be respected like you.
Also when you insult someone you may get a message from GMs saying to not insult peeps.
You are slowly reaching the limits and soon you will break out like Galax on Gremlin Chatter. Really.
explain before the match youre lagging
explain you're trying new things before the match
during the match completely ignore chat, unless its a non aggressive conversation
report: but dont give any hints that you reported them, act nice even if you want to rip their arms off
if someone says something mean you could also disprove it with facts and use as many big words as possible
stuff like that works for me, if they dont have any factual comebacks like if theyre spamming the word "noob", just ignore them
p.s. by ignore I mean dont respond, I never actually put people on the ignore list
It's because of the theory of Normal Person + Anonymity + Audience = Jerk.
That and everyone in Lockdown gains 666% more salt and 69% more edge.
It gave me a papercut.
