Is it just me or do the new blaster lines basically look like a blaster with a glowing silencer affixed to the barrel?
(EDIT) Since I already have this thread up i may as well ask for the advice i need. Basically my plan for this character (Which to date i belive i have started over 6-7 times.) Is to get one of every damage type of every weapon. (E.G. a calibur, combuster acheron and FF for swords, then shadowtech and prisma alchemer+ blitz+ magnus for guns etc.) So basically i will tell you my attacking style and let you more experienced players (even if i have been playing since 2012) suggest weapons to me. Here goes. Basically for guns my preffered method is to either A: get in and to a ton of dmg at a ridicoulosly fast speed>get out, or constantly be leading a large group of monsters around (after destroying healers/turrets) and wearing down on their health constantly. Bombs i have no clue since i have used them like once. And with swords my preffered method is to basically do the first strategy with guns, but with swords. (PS: dont ya love the excessive use of parentheses?)

my advice

1. The run-in-deal-damage-rush-out way:
Guns:
-by using guns I think of the autogun type guns first, since they do a nice Job here, but you get rooted in place while firing and reloading. So depending if you see it as short enough with e.g. spiral shield and other asi stuff or as too Long, you may like or not like this Version.
-my second though of a weapon which can do it is the Magnus line. I own myselfe an iron slug. (mainly beeing influenced by other Forum People without fully comparing it to wintergrave. But since it deals normal damage, it is a good normal weap. choice.) iron slug can hit multiple times if the enemy is facing towards you and the reload time till you can move again is quite short. This gun is a real killed if used in combination of a vortex (my wink: Obsidian crusher), which can kill in the jelly farm Level in that room with 9 jellies all jellies in one blow - T3 included.
-Alchemer charges, if aimed correctly
-Tortogun charges if aimed correctly - best in combination with a shield best, here i recommend torto shields for their bigger radius to bash enemies back into shards once they got hit by the falling shards and got pushed aside.

Swords:
-Brandishes. Not much to add because Bopp will probably pop up soon and suggest his sword guild which explains everything and adds a Google search link that you can use to find Topics about brandishes. What I want to add: vortex bombs work here as a great amplifier aswell.
-Maybe DA charges. though I cant say much about the sealed sword line since I stopped upgrading at 4* heat 10.

Bombs:
-Uh.... BAB I would say. though remember that this is a very slow one, but you can place a charged BAB in compounds to get rid of each minnie even in 4 man Groups in T2 or lower. right now i got my BAB to heat 5 so I cant confirm if it works in T3 when fully heated.
-DBB maybe. though you morely would like to stand while spamming DBB, but actually I see DBB as the best ever weapon vs wolvers and a perfect answer to gorgos (they will get interrupted by each new spammed DBB Explosion). Even Gremlins can permanently be downed on floor by spamming it.
-DR to turrets and menders who are stuck in a shield, though this is morely a DOT-aspect

2. The attacking-while-running-way:
-Antigua is my first answer to this: they have good Clip size, and if anything Comes Close, they almost always allow you to shield. Note that Obsidian Carabine deals same damage like sentenza. If you choose a shadow Antigua, you shouldn't pick sent therefore.
-Alchemers: Since I did not take my time to practice their mechanic (plus the fact hat I hate their 2-only-bullet size) I am using 1 alchemer (shock) to fire 1 bullet and wait a Brief Moment so i can barely skipped the time a second hit would cause a reload. So i fire shockin bullets to devilities and kats - once These fast things get shocked, they are Prey for my Party or another weapon of mine.
-Probably Blaster-upgrades. Since I already got other weapons for this purpose, I did not spend much time in crafting These. Maybe I would craft the elemental one if i would start from Zero.
-Pulsars: exspecially the fire one i can recommend to gt enemies into a corne or get a passage through a crowd of enemies. Also one of the weapons i bring in almost each dreams and nightmares-run.
-Tortoguns are also very good for the running aspect since you can Launch shards in the air and move away from These, giving you the Chance to create the largest space between you and the Monster when it actually recives damage between all other swords and guns. This tactic is best used in large rooms, by falling back in clockwork tunnels, open fields like the first deapth of Ghost in the Machine (after the Initial traps) or Deconstruction Zones - simply everywhere where you get much space and many Monsters at once

Swords:
-Uuuuuuhm... keeping distance and Shooting... Bopp help me out here :D before i suggest Winmillion because of ist distance aspect. The only weapon I think aout something like this would be a brandish again because it pushes enemies away, but this is still not so much of a distance thing.

Bombs:
-DR due to its possibility to create orbs that deal even damage after you left the fighting spot
-Ash of Agni for burning enemies to death. Though it is a kinda weak Status, it still offers good distance while spreading dot over to many enemies at once
-maybe shards. maybe. well actually only if you are into These. You can place one and get a distance. I abandoned These because they make enemies bump unpredictably around.

Greetings

if I understand correctly

The core part of your post seems to be this...

my preffered method is to either A: get in and to a ton of dmg at a ridicoulosly fast speed>get out, or constantly be leading a large group of monsters around (after destroying healers/turrets) and wearing down on their health constantly.

...which I'm cleaning up to this...

my preferred method is either (A) get in, do a ton of damage quickly, and get out, or (B) kite the monsters, wearing them down gradually

Doesn't this basically describe every play style in the game? A is sword/gun charge attacks and B is sword/gun regular attacks and bombs. It's too big of a question to answer.

As Jenovasforumchar predicted, here is a link to my detailed sword guide. The most important charge-oriented gun styles are autoguns, magnuses, and alchemers. There are many regular-attack-oriented guns, and there are tons of bombs to help you with plan B.

Alchemers are unfortunately a

Alchemers are unfortunately a little lackluster at lower levels. If I were to be using all guns from the beginning of the game, I would start with a prisma alchemer, a needle gun for later, and a winter grave line once I got 3*. Shadow alchemers handily deal with gremlins but grave lets you get that healer from across the room. Iron slug is unfortunately 5* and a great choice at endgame, but it's not normal damage until then. This makes me sad.

Grave is inferior to slug because the freeze hinders damage, BUT the mechanics of the piercing Magnus line are also self-limiting when the knockback is only in the monster's vector and not relative to the bullet direction.

Ok i guess i need to clarify my strategy a bit, basically my whole gameplay is based on movement, so the most prized thing i have is mobility. If that clarifys things a bit for you, and may as well let you know what i decided for weapons. Guns: Shadowtech alchemer, blitz, AP, and valiance. swords: iceburst brandish line, (cant remember what its called to save my life) GF and FF (or DCP if i can.) as well as a DVS for normal dmg. Bombs i have not thought about yet.

good, good, surprising

It's good that you focus on movement. Spiral Knights is basically a game of dodging.

Umbra Driver and Blitz Needle are both fantastic. Argent Peacemaker isn't powerful or fun, but it exposes you to another style, and it's good for utility (hitting switches, breaking blocks, etc.).

Similarly your swords give you three different styles, which is nice. But I'm surprised that you chose Glacius over Combuster or Voltedge. And you don't need a normal sword such as DVS at all.

Most bombs fit your play style, because bombers have to stay mobile to survive, because they often can't shield. I'll echo Jenovasforumchar's recommendation of Dark Briar Barrage and Dark Retribution. Also get one haze bomb such as Voltaic Tempest. Arguably you should not get any blast bombs, because they reward staying in one place, which is not your play style.

first of to confirm.. Dark retribution is the bomb you get from OCH correct? And DBB is the snarbolax themed bomb? Also which haze bomb would you reccomend? THe one that deals fire (obvioulsy im not good with names.) or a different one? EDIT just remembered the 5*variant for the fire was ash of agni im so proud of myself :D

well

Why not look them up on the wiki? It's much faster than posting a question in a forum and waiting for the answer.

I've already recommended one haze bomb to you. Ash of Agni is also good for damage. Stagger Storm and Venom Veiler are excellent for supporting a party. Shivermist Buster is less good, due to my usual issues with freeze. (It hinders knockback, shield-bumping, kiting, etc.)

Shivermist

in this point I would disagree with Bopp, because one shivermist dropped will offer great safety before you *dash in and deal tons of damage, then dash outagain*.
The shivermist is the only mist bomb I am actively using - usually in pair with my Blitz Needle to counter the rooting time and my lags.
