The fact that this really old news was brought up again on the news window kinda got my attention, since it does point to a thread that promises a lot of surprises. Maybe Grey Havens is working on them? OR it's just happened for no reason. Either way, tease much.

Either this is a really weird mistake, or a big update is coming up (look at the last section of the patch notes thread

I wouldn't get my hopes up though, as the surprises Nick mentioned may have ended at the Gunner Update (and that's kind of what it looks like, seeing as these surprises that he promised would have been in development since over 3 years ago).

Yeah the Exciting New
Yeah the Exciting New Features announcement got me excited but the funny part is I can't recall if these were around for a while or if it's only been lately. I usually barely notice but it caught my attention yesterday for whatever reason, this thread seemed to show I wasn't the only one surprised.

Actually, I had no idea that these had appeared more than once. Also Batabii is right, at least for me: I restarted playing about a month or two ago after I quit a little while after the forge update. Also I don't pay attention to the notices too often anyway :/
