G'day everyone! Managed to squeeze in to the preview in the last couple of days.
Really quite impressed by this game, and is definetly looking forward to the full release.

I as a player always enjoyed doing my homework (no, i don't mean math and english) on the forums when it comes to online games.
Usually saves me money from creating useless items, or time to ask dumb questions that could of easily been answered with some simple research.

After looking through the different discussions for the past few weeks, I just have one quick question:
IS IT SAFE TO SAY THERE IS NO WEAPONS/GEARS THAT IS SUPERIOR TO ANOTHER?

I ask this because I see alot of talk regarding the frequent balancing of items, which is quite universal with all online games.
Therefore can a player choose their items simply based on their preferred style of play? or are some combination simply better than others! :O

Swords with projectiles are

Swords with projectiles are godly at the moment. Everything else is a bit meh by comparison.

That being said I don't intend to ever build one. Just feels lame to me.

dem swords

@Ferox
Unfortunately, if a mob can evade, they'll dodge all projectiles except Alchemer bullets, which makes it rather hard on projectile-producing swords such as Winmillion.

Some time ago, the Cutter series' damage was nerfed by a notable amount. WHB was reduced the most, if I recall.
Some damage was added back later to it, allowing it to be on par with its other upgrade line, Dread Venom Striker; on the other hand, Poison's use was buffed considerably, debuffing an afflicted target's attack and defense, along with preventing being healed and averting the impulse to heal.
Overall, the WHB has developed limited, situational use, due to its bonus effect only affecting beasts (Wolvers and Chromas.)

On the topic: Agreed; Divine Avenger.

^ ^ ^

Check this post.
I prefer to be biased on occasion.
I don't know how you'd want your playstyle to be, so I won't say anything just yet.

Just had a good read ~!
Think im leaning towards the Troika right now, unless some new knowledge pops up on the 1st.

I'm still going for

I'm still going for Troika/Kamarin/Khorovod. Even if they were nerfed, it was probably for balance. And I only ever played the series in their nerfed form and it seemed fine. It depends on how you play; the Cutter series doesn't work for me because I don't have fast enough reflexes to control it. But a sword with large damage, sweep, knock-back that can stop attacks in the higher levels meshes well with me; I try to think before I hit, and with a shield between swings I'm happier. MUDs again.

Of course, I keep other swords handy just in case. I think I'll also go for Calibur and its alchemical path that leads to a 360° spin attack.

Find the sword series that fits you.
