This suggestion is simple; change the charge behavior of swords and guns so that they will lose charge even if the charge is already full. Keep bomb charging mechanics the way they are.
Revert swords and guns to the old charging mechanic.
Right now, if an enemy hits you, your weapon remains charged. Before, the charge was "lost" and had to do it again.
It's not an old patch.
And it makes more sense on bombs snce they are charge-only.
This wouldn't be helpful in a PVE situation but I can understand that in a PVP match bombers would be killed by another players charged attack. I think it'd be better if this was only applied to PVP to give bombers an edge.
This isn't meant to be helpful, it's meant to be balanced.
What is so 'balanced' about your idea? Your asking to remove an advantage that a player has, yet you don't explain why you want it removed.
bombs are charge-only they deserve some special boous. Swords and guns can survive after losing a charge.
You could take this suggestion so far as to say bombs shouldn't even lose charge if hit while charging, and it would be still be balanced. It would make bombing super boring and tanky, but it would still be balanced.
Oatmonster, attempting to head an initiative for balance that both he and Luguiru could help to reshape SK into something fun once again for all...

I can be the vice president so I have no responsibilities and can do stupid things without public backlash.
To push it a little further, what if holding or constantly using a projectile based charge attack had a time limit or it blows up in your face? Imagine holding a Brandish/Sealed/Spur (unless Spur gets a change to make it rival other swords as a melee weapon)/any gun charge attack for more than ten seconds, or using the charge attacks five times consecutively causes your knight to knock itself down and cancels the attack completely? Overheating is serious stuff. I want that Spur change.
Even though I am a swordie, this change never made sense to me. Made Brandishes far too good.
Swordsmen (mainly Brandish-users) and Gunslingers (mainly Alchemer-users) are already too over-powered with their charges.
could you elaborate upon this? more specifically, what where the old mechanics, what do you mean by they lose charge even if the charge is already full?
