You already get your loadout locked when you sign up for a match.

You're still gonna use polaris and a flourish/hammer/faust

You're still gonna wear heart trinkets.

At least let us do it in style.

No. I would have proto gear as my costume while underneath I have different armor.

besides, belongs in suggestion forum not arsenal.

Latter part is right.

Also, anything carves through proto armor, anyway.

let me put it this way. You see me with a snarby set, what will you attack me with?

elemental or piecing.

If i actually have drake scale gear you would rage I hack and won't die when you use those weapon types and I kill you even though you hit me with stronger better weapons.

So, you don't want to know what you're up against? That guy wearing the Ash Tail set happens to swim through your Voltaic Tempest. Oh. He was actually wearing Mercurial!

I think this issue has been addressed enough.

But then again, there are enough people miffed about the inability to see weapon UVs. There is a considerable difference between being hit by an unheated Final Flourish and being hit by a fully heated ASI VH Final Flourish.

But still, I'll pass, thanks.

My Gran Faust. if I don't see piles of HP fall off of you then use something else. You can, at any one point, either be fully geared against a type, half geared against that same type, or not at all against that type. it'll only take one hit to know what to/not to use against you.

and goodness, Bella; you underestimate my class. I don't rage. I am proposing that if a sane player hits you and they don't see an explosion of red and (insert damage type color here) they won't try that weapon again.

Since we cannot change weapons or see our opponents loadouts at any time, we cannot metagame to prepare ourselves. That means, until we are actually thrown into the game, we have no knowledge of our opponents until at the very least the lobby. Costumes would require players to remember which player is armored which way, or carry a normal weapon.

True, this would pose a bit of a difficulty if teams all use the same costumes/same personal color; but I think that there's some feasibility in allowing it.

Why not just let us see what armor your using so you don't have to switch to a different weapon after the first hit?

@ Bella

Also a valid solution, yes. could also block the weapon slot views.

/facepalm

I meant right now you can see what armors they use without dieing, attacking, that's what no costume does.

hurrhurr.

No costume also means skolver clones. dozens of skolver clones. Nobody's man enough to walk out in a salamander/non skolver. (I exaggerate of course.)

So... There's these things called accessories. That's all you really need. Lockdown is not dress-up wars.

Made my day lol.

But yeah, I actually support Bella's notion on how costumes would screw with people in LD.

There's this lovely feature called 'Full Inspect' and I for one believe it is stupid to have it off and it should always be on

If Full Inspect was always on, I would be all for this.

Only way I see this ever working is if the player's perspective had their costume on while to everyone else they appear in their actual armor. Though it'd probably increase loading times.

Other than that, no.
