Is it normal for green prize boxes to drop hearts?

Just saw a heart drop from a green prize box in Tier 1.

It seems that ever since the BS (unfortunate initial there...) update, some green boxes have been dropping exactly nothing. I heard they tried to fix it by making them drop hearts. Now I get about 30% of my green boxes with hearts... Which is irritating. I want crystals, sparks, or orbs! D:
I've noticed some of them in T1 still don't drop anything. Hope this gets fixed soon.
