Ello,
Now to Clarify,
1) The items under question are NOT Real-Life Currency, Material Items, or anything of the such.
2) In addition, the items under question are NOT Crowns, Energy, or any form of In-Game Monetary/currency.
---
3) Rather, the Items under question ARE Junk Items. Now, to avoid confusion, I'm regarding SK items that are looked at by a great majority of the Spiral Knight community to be viewed as almost worthless. (e.g. Regular/Very Common Headbands, Maid headbands)
FAQ:
1) The Purpose of this?
A neat way for the mature side of the community to use their junk.
2) Is there any ulterior motives?
No, it's ONLY intended as a form of amusement.
It is NOT intended to be sought/viewed as a unjust source of income/gain.
Which is why the only items that would be validly used are items considered almost worthless
3) Would such events be hosted in any form/way to cause unwanted negative influences?
No; I respect that there will likely be players that dislike the slightest form of these events.
In which, said events would likely be held in isolated areas (For example, a Guild Hall.)
4) Would it directly and/or indirectly cause any form of harm to the Spiral Knight Gaming Community?
No harm, in any form, action, or matter, is intended.
Measures will be taken to assure this.
5) Will there be serious restraints on what is allowed to be wagered?
Yes. Nothing valued in the slightest would be allowed. Nearly worthless items, such as headbands/maid headbands, would also have a numbered limit for each individual duel. So that the number of said nearly worthless items never exceeds a certain collective value.
6) Who would host these events?
The ones hosting said events will ONLY be players that hold strong positive reputation within Spiral Knight's gaming community.
7) How would this work? How would any duel results hold any from of legitimacy?
Entries for each individual duel would place their wagers with the hosting middle-man. (Ultimately, this is the concern that a great majority of players would be worried about As mentioned above, the middle-men would ONLY be players that hold a strong positive reputation within the game's community. In addition, the entries are subject to the serious restraints mentioned above as well.
The duelers would be placed into a randomized list. (Like the one found at http://www.random.org/lists/)
The list is then randomized, and the player's names on the upper spots, such as 1, 2, or 3, would be declared winner(s) according to the size of the duel. To assure validity, the randomization would occur on a minute decided by the participants; then a screenshot would be taken of the results; with a proper time stamp clearly showing that it was taken on said minute that was requested alongside it.
Basically, it's no different than a raffle. Simply just repeated many times by whoever wishes to participate as a form of amusement
Now back to the original question, Is anything regarding this idea against the ToS? And if so, how can it be changed so that it does not go against any part of the ToS.
Raptor-Zy
Is gambling with crowns even against the ToS? It would be simpler.
