DS is actually OP when you want to farm HoI. But if you want trade some defences for damage buy 1 nighmare mane, six eternals and beat SL Snarby. There is actually a thread about free sl runs so check it out.

Dread skelley sets do make
Dread skelley sets do make very good costumes. I have a set with the dread skelley helmet have dusky mecha wings and a volcanic spike mohawk, while my dread skelley suit has a flame aura. Now come gimme a HUG!

I use my dread skelly suit all the time, even if it is generally worse than my snarbolax suit.

My opinion from 2014 is outdated just use black kat I'm sorry to burst any skelly related bubbles but the armor isn't "bad", it's just inferior and that makes it feel bad get black kat the end.
Generally this is not a very good armor (unless you constantly do freeze-fiend levels), and a better armor would be one that has statistical bonuses (sword dmg, gun dmg, universal dmg, etc.)
I'd recommend checking out Bopp's sword guide but if you already know the stuff about swords then go ahead and scroll down to the Armor, Shields, Trinkets and Perks part of it.
