Which one should I upgrade my haze bomb into? I really want to have a good bomb, but I don't know which path to take my Haze Bomb on.
Freezing, Firey, or Toxic Vaporizer?
I have a fire and freeze bomb. Fire is great for damaging things. I thought it was a bit more effective in Tier 2 since everything not being healed and flammable died pretty fast. In Tier 3, I'm really liking the versatility of the shivermist.
Eventually, get all three (and choose which to use based on stratum type).
First, I'd get the fiery vaporizer. The damage it does is fantastic.
Freezing vaporizers are worth having eventually, but with small radii (less than 4*) are less useful than their fiery counterparts, because they will generally affect fewer enemies per blast. Enemies are frozen in the freezing mist, which may prevent other enemies from walking through. Meanwhile, they walk through fire without slowing, allowing many more to catch.
Venom Veiler is hugely useful in T3 deconstruction zones, but otherwise the poison of the toxic vaporizer line is too weak and in too small a radius to be useful (the poison of the toxic atomizer, for instance, doesn't even last through a single spin-berserk of the jelly king if applied right before he turns pink).
It depends on what status you want to inflict. I have a Shivermist Buster (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Shivermist_Buster) and it's fantastic against anything that moves fast; wolvers, fiends, etc. because it freezes them in their tracks. My favorite bomb of the three. However, ice-type monsters can't be frozen.
Ash of Agni (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Ash_of_Agni) is the most damaging out of all of them because of the fire, but will obviously be less effective against monsters that resist elemental attacks, and completely ineffective against any fire-type monsters since they can't catch on fire.
Venom Veiler (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Venom_Veiler) just poisons everything. Poisoned monsters can't heal, take damage when healed, take more damage from you, and deal less damage to you. It's great for softening some of the tougher monsters and stopping menders and silkwings from healing other monsters.
Hope this helps.
