Edit: Equips I had were a full Mad Bomber set, Ancient Plate Shield, x2 Tri-heart Pendants, Radiant Sun Shards, Ash of Agni, Nitromone, and Venom Veiler. No extra damage bonuses besides the boost from the Mad Bomber.

good call on the trio bomb
good call on the trio bomb combo. i should get the toxic and fiery soon too. one thing tho, planting the bomb close up is to gain the initial burst dmg from the bomb, but it also puts the bomber in much higher risk. both 5* has a big range, wouldn't it be better to give away the initial dmg and plant from a distance?

I think JK can be killed with just 3 Curse Vials, 3 Poison Vials, and 3 Fire Vials
Don't even need to really attack him.

This was actually my very first attempt. Taking a step back from the usual boss rush mode wasn't something I was used to. This was definitely something new and I enjoyed it very much. I got hit quite often mostly due to poor bomb placement but I'll work at it. Honestly, Jelly King is way too susceptible to status ailments, especially fire and curse. Vials make this fight too easy.

How do you manage with 2 bars
How do you manage with 2 bars the erratic weapon switching while charging up instantly on top of that a selected from 4 one bomb?!

Know thy palette, I guess. On-the-fly weapon switching should become second nature (or maybe I just played too much PSU) 2 bars is all I ever get since I play overseas (Hawaii)

Nice vid, Sick! Your post inspired me to try it out for myself. I decided to keep it simple with only a 2 bomb set. Armor is full mad bomber set w/ Omega Shell. The bombs are a level 5 (so only ultra CTR, not max) nitronome w/ UV dmg to slimes med and a level 10 ash of agni. I'm not sure if I had to use all the health pots but the point where I popped two in a row I was having second thoughts about being able to finish the fight. Luckily I kind of got into a groove after that. For some reason the mini cubes got out of control and I couldn't walk anywhere without getting stuck.

I must admit eek5's one is really great, no vials, no poison-based weapon, so no poison and no curse at all... never tried that but I must admit that sounds like a great challenge...
Any solo swordsman with the same result without curse and poison (may be fire vials should still be allowed...) ?

yes but DVS is poison-based that would be like using a poison-based bomb, which eek5 didn't need... the question is rather, can pure (sword) DPS counter the RJ's regeneration ?

I wonder how much damage you
I wonder how much damage you could do to it planting salt crystal bombs and getting the king to jump on top of them? I mean, that's like normal bomb damage times up to 8, so.. potentially a whole heck of a lot. You just wouldn't be catching any of the minions in the blast, though a good shock weapon could keep their numbers low, or maybe just a graviton to keep most of them out of the way.
nice but it would be more impressive if u did it with 2* bombs
