Because Catalyzer will be the new best handgun, it's about time we make strategies in Lockdown... to troll.
First strategy I have is to hide as a recon in a base that has been captured by your team. Wait for an opponent, and boom! Spam the catalyzer endlessly. If you feel there's enough sticky bullets around your opponent, charge and finish the opponent off.
Another strategy is to hide in a corner from a base that has been captured by your team. When a group of the opposing team arrives, spam endlessly until they are all stickied. One charge can set off a volatile chain of delicious lagging explosions.
Anybody have more?
It won't be the best gun if they don't fix the many bugs with it right now.
- WITHOUT invincibility frames (ex: have your enemy hold charge), the "tagged" shots don't currently do any damage - the only damage is from the detonation / (currently) normal shot. Tagged shots are currently completely useless (unless you think 0-damage knockback and possible poison chance is worth anything). Enemies in range of an explosion don't take damage either.
- You can detonate yourself if you're tagged, have a catalyzer, then dash/walk into your own bullet.
- Your self detonation can cause knockback/poison (biohazard) on both your teammates and the person who tagged you in the first place (wtf? whose shots are they then?)
Of course, if you're on the test server and test server has PVP, I hope you can confirm these are fixed for me, especially the first issue (because you know, it will become whole basis of catalyzer damage). <3 I'm F2P and don't have access.

However, if those bugs are fixed and these assumptions are correct:
- Normal shots "tag" and charge shots "detonate" (reversal of current mechanics)
- Any bullet can trigger catalyzer explosion
Then I think using Biohazard as a 'soft' stopper and 'randomizer' for knockback can be a viable strategy for single-switchers, combined with something like blaster line/AP.
Or if invincibility frames become an issue, combine it with storm driver. Same old.
