A change to the damage uv

I don`t know many would go for damage against beast, fiends, etc and much more would go for just a overall damage bonus

So my suggestion is to change the uv bonus instead of towards a single enemy but to boost the overall specific damage that a weapon does (piercing, elemental, shadow)

The damage boost uv compared to the over damage uv:

the piercing uv would do better damage output on fiends and beast
slightly less on undead and gremlins

the elemental uv would do better damage output on constructs and undead
but slightly less on slimes and fiends

the shadow damage would do better damage output on slimes and gremlin
but slightly less on beast and constructs

(there is proberly many flaws and possibly lack of research in my suggestion but i just wanted to give a thought out and see how it goes)

Interesting Concept

Interesting concept, but how would it work for UV's that arent on that weapons dmg type. For instance, my voltedge has a fiend vh UV, would that make it less effective on contructs? and better on beasts? You have to consider that UV's dont always happen on the same dmg type as the weapon, its actually rare i think.

well when i listed how the uv worked i was comparing my concept to the overall uv so i`ll update it

(in case due to my horrible English i meant this):

The piercing uv would do better damage output against fiends and beast COMPARED to the overall damage bonus

so bascily your voltedge with a fiend very high would just mean compared to a overall damage bonus you will get more of a damage boost on fiends (which would change to a piercing uv in my concept) so a higher damage boost on beast and a slightly less damage boost on construts and undead but would still be effective against them but just a smaller damage boost compared to a overall against construts and undead where the uv would boost your output on fiends and beast more but not as effective as a peircing weapons

You have to consider that UV's dont always happen on the same dmg type as the weapon, its actually rare i think.

well i have considered it (need to change the original post) but i meant for those armors that gives out damage boost to a certains monst family and i don`t think dmg uvs come on a roll only for armos such as skovler but uvs are also what need to be changed i think :D

Now we get to the point of saying why this wouldnt be prefered.

Think about it, voltedge deals elemental, and shock. If it had a piercing vh uv it would deal less damage to a construct, which would make it less effective at what is designed to be useful with. Good with normal damage and weapons of the same damage type, SUCKY, with other damages. And i rarely use voltedge to swing at fiends and wolvers, got myself a furious flamburge/dark thorn blade for that, so i would rather pitch the UV if it was changed to that. Here is what i propose.

Make it so it ONLY increases the damage to monsters weak of that damage type. As what would happen if, someone got a piercing UV when they rolled on Dark Retribution, or Acheron? And what would be worse if it was maximum. It would ruin the weapon on slimes, which is what it deals with well, cough:JK/IQ:Cough. That is what i worry about.
