I need fanart of a Wolver clone shouting RUST HURRICANE.

I'd love to see OOO make and release a Goldrake Scale armor set.

On another note, the Bolted Vees and Helm Guards are distinctively reminiscent of a certain mobile suit.

I really don't think that divine avenger has anything to do with sonic holding his shiny sword.

I'm pretty sure the Divine Avenger isn't referencing anything; it's just your generic 'holy sword'.

But, if anything, it's probably based on Excalibur. Note the "bright light" part, and the whole "still fewer heroes worthy of wielding it" part in the D.A.'s description.

Lionheart

Okay, since it’s both the name of my guild and the name of the 5-star honor blade, I’ll background it a little.

Aside from just being a cool name with nice imagery, it was the popular nickname of King Richard I who was King of England in the late 12th century. Rather than from history books, many of us learned of him through the Disney movie Robin Hood.

Since King Richard the Lionheart lived in the medieval era of kings and knights and castles, lionheart has become a popular name for swords and characters, especially in computer games such as World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy.

As an added pop culture note, the name Corleone of the crime family from the Godfather trilogy translates from Italian as Lionheart.

Argent Peacemaker

Argent is white silver although it is also associated with metallic gold.

The original Peacemaker was a single-action Colt 45, owned by Wild Bill Hickok.

In Norse mythology, a valkyrie is one of a host of female figures who decide which soldiers die in battle and which live.

Vog is created when volcanic gases (primarily oxides of sulfur) react with sunlight, oxygen and moisture. Thus, Vog helm and armor has a volcanic appearance with elemental defense.

Arkus' name comes from Argus. A guy from Greek Mythology. He had a lot of eyeballs on his body.

Nick said on a thread from around 2011 that the crowbar was an obvious nod to Half-Life. I can't remember where, but I remember someone said the Snarbolax was based on a monster some dev thought of.

Sorry for the lack of specification.

Also @Mawashimono: "Since King Richard the Lionheart lived in the medieval era of kings and knights and castles, lionheart has become a popular name for swords and characters, especially in computer games such as World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy."

There are only 4 usages of Lionheart in the Final Fantasy games. That's not even remotely close to being popularly used.

Mawa, not only did you just steal from the wiki, you also put it into 4 consecutive posts?

I originally just meant to do the iLonheart sword, and I checked wiki and a few other pages to make sure I had my facts straight. then I added that info to the references page (Thank you, Glacies), which I had never send before, and I noticed how incomplete it was, so I thought, Heck, I'll go ahead and do my favorite gun, AP as well, which was fun, and led me to do a couple of other gear as well, which I also added to the wiki references pages.

Just what is the problem with four consecutive posts? Was it difficult for you to read? Are you jealous, or are you just looking for anther thing to whine about?

Also, how is that no one had ever added these to our wiki page before? Tweet, Poomph and Potato were too lazy to do update our wiki, but took time enough to make a post complaining about the person who did. No good deed goes unpunished ( or un-whined about, I guess.)

Anyway, I'm done with this thread, and you're welcome for taking the time do that for our community.

1) I use Steam, and I've reached the limit for the number of accounts on this computer, with my main on Kongregate, an alt in Aeria Games for Ignition items, and probably some other junk. Hey hey hey look none of those accounts can edit the wiki. Hey hey hey you just generalized against us and made completely baseless assumptions. Hey hey hey I guess I should also be too lazy to keep typing hey's. Hey hey hey I sorta am. Stopping now.

2) I can turn that back around at you; what is the problem with making them a single post? Was it difficult for you to click on the Edit button? Are you jealous of all those authentic double or triple or quadruple or quintuple or sextuple or septuple or octuple or nonuple or decuple or undecuple or duodecuple or tredecuple posters, or are you just looking for another thing to throw cornea-dissolving symbols on?

3) Lionheart, not iLonheart. Insult my apparently large amounts of apathy, feel free to yell "Why NOT HAVE 4 WING DRAGON PICS IN A ROW" but at least spare the spelling. Also, just a note, people usually do typos when they're rushed or rather angry. Like, hypothetically, in this completely conjectured situation, when someone's being an unhappy snappy peep.

4) I'm pretty sure a reference is for something like a movie, or a book, not a definition of a word itself. A valkyrie's definition is literally the one from Norse mythology. I'm pretty sure you weren't referring to Wagner's opera, or the 2008 thriller, or a CoD remote control missile. Unless you secretly are and are in a conspiracy plot against the Americans and secretly getting assistance to the Germans in WWII which actually duplicated Hitler and fought a secret Santa Superman.

5) How is the argent a reference to anything for the "argent" part? You just noted that even though argent is silvery white, the bullets are more buttery gold and argent is associated with gold. I mean it's not like you referenced a movie called Argent or mentioned something like Generi C. Guy said a line like "Very well, argent Sargent, quite glossy and bossy." to an especially annoying and glamorous person who thought xe was superior to everything and put shiny medals everywhere to prove something. Which is, once again, in a completely hypothetical and isolated scenario in which all coincidences and likeness to anything is strictly coincidental.

Anyways, I'm done with this thread, and you're welcome for providing a modicum of humor to me, myself, and yours truly.

@Sandwich-Potato

I'm pretty sure a reference is for something like a movie, or a book, not a definition of a word itself.

A reference is to whatever came first, unless it's specifically obvious or stated otherwise.
The Valkyrie's description is not "a definition of a word", it's a description of an object. "Valkyrie" is a noun, so any definition of which is talking about the object, not the word. Same goes for the other three references Mawa added, they're all nouns.

Anyway, a reference can be to a word. If there was a sword called "What" and its design was all spastic, that's a reference to a word or spoken response.
Actually never mind, it would probably be moreso a reference to the image board tag of the same name.
