I would like something like "unmarked player (no trinkets) in azure guardian set takes X amount of Valiance (no uvs) shots to die, compared to deathmarked character with same set takes Y amount of shots"

I just really want to know just how much it really helps.

It removes all defense, IIRC.

In T2, it makes brandishes more powerful than heavy weapons, since they are dual type and defense for both types are removed.

Essentially, you're wearing proto armor.

It depends on the weapon type too though.
ex: Less effect from deathmark if you use Umbra (pure shadow) vs Azure armor, but way more effect from using something like DA vs Chaos (both elem/normal split).

It'll save you at least 1-2 attacks worth of damage (possibly more, depending on how effective the armor is vs your weapons).

To put that in comparison with just damage UV, having 2 levels of damage UVs saves you about one sword attack to kill someone.

These are all kind of rough estimates. I don't really count damage/hits when fighting people lol.

IIRC you can combo someone to death with a GF when they're deathmarked.

I want to say that's possible (if not 2, then 3 hits - sounds realistic), but idk if that means max damage vs double pentas. There are too many variables to consistently say it will take x number of attacks to kill someone (though preferably, all those numbers should be vs double pentas, the 'worst case').

I'm not gonna bother doing maths for someone who has not bothered to do the research so instead, I'll just tell you the basics and you may have fun figuring out the rest.
- Zeddy has done a ton of research. Look for his stuff.
- LD gives you a minimum of 100 defence in each category.
- Death mark makes all defence values 0.

To answer OP's question

Against someone with two penta hearts (because that's the usual case)

With no damage bonus:

Deathmarked: 5
Not deathmarked: 11

With max damage:

Deathmarked: 4
Not deathmarked: 7

I have already thoroughly numbered this subject. The effect is biggest for weak weapons and weapons with dual damage.
