Doesn't $2.25 seem a little expensive for only 750ce?

Consider the following:
-You get more CE per dollar the bigger your purchase
-You can get other players' CE by trading them your crowns, and vice versa
-With the advent of the Forge, alchemy orbs, and free elevators, there's barely anything in the game that you have to spend CE on
It's not crazy when you have those three things in mind.

You could buy and sell Tf2 keys for 1400-1500E each and they only cost around $2.47.

Bring up a comparative argument using ingame items showing why that is expensive.
