Anyone else having this problem?
Speed running D19 8-1 Waste candlestick keep. I'm getting one BK per six or seven runs. I'll count spookats tonight but that seems much less than 1:100.
At this rate it'll take me 50 hours of play to make one Kat helmet.
I understand wanting to not repeat Obsidian (where everyone had all three weapons by Day 2) but this is too much!

I played my first Candlestick since the event started and we found 3 BLACK KATS* in under 10 mins.
Oh, then I played at least 5 other stages since then and got one lol.
Such is the nature of random spawn.

You should probably replace BKC right BK. Cuuuuz BKC is black kat cowl and everybody would be like WHAAAAAT?!?!?!?!
You keep the pages from one event to the next. (Or at least I still have mine from the previous event.) Perhaps that softens the frustration slightly?
I just ran "Bad Luck and Brimstone". You know, the mission you're supposed to find tokens on.
Guess how many I've got? Right. Zero point zero. None of the BKs I've fought dropped anything at all. What the buck?
I don't even mention trying to speedrun statum 5 of emerald knight gate - have been doing it all day and met exactly one BK.
And no, Bopp, it doesn't alleviate the issue in the slightest. It took at least 7-8 months for event ti repeat - I can't even guarantee I'll have internet access by the time it rolls out again!
Basically, yeah. Event is BROKEN. It will take redardicilous amount of grinding to get as much as 3* helmet - and I don't think it's possible for average player to build up 200 tokens required for the 5* (which, at least, can be leveled and crafted at your leisure after the event).
The black kats you fight at the end of the prestige mission never dropped any, you get those at the end of the mission.

Like Flowchart said, the Black Kats at the last arena of the end of the daily missions drop nothing but hearts (i'm not sure if they drop the Book Of Dark Rituals though).
You should run Alone In The Dark since it starts at Candlestick Keep and has a Haunted Passage next.
I've been having a hard time finding the book, found tons of Ancient Pages but no Book Of Dark Rituals...(at least i'm close to my Kat Claw Cowl)
One more thing: i've seen some players saying that either the drop rate for the book or the BK spawn rate has been decreased compared to the previous events. Is that even true?

Yeah, file a support ticket and pray that they'll help. That's... ouch.

Now i'm having the same problem as you, a BK every 90 minutes. GG.
Meh im finding a kat like every 2 runs or sometimes 3. It seems like a i find a kat whenever i go with Nishim, but that has to be a coincedence. I got my first kat fetish now i need two more for my black kat seraphynx. I might buy the other two from auction because grinding this is painful, but ill keep doing these runs just in case.

I'm down to finding a BK every 30-40 minutes. Minimum, you're looking at a half hour of grinding for 3 tokens. That's over 30 hours of work over 12 days for one piece of gear.
Does that sound reasonable to anyone?

well how many runs per 30 minutes does it take you? you should be finding a kat every 2 or 3 runs

You can find a BK every run and you can find a BK every 10 runs.
I have found 1 mewkat and 1 love puppy in 1 and a half hour but no black kats

i have been running 'alone in the dark'
i run into one black kat atleast every 3rd run (one run takes 10 mins as i just speed run it)
sometimes i find 2 per level :o
