Yeah, there's that, but along with those terrible appearance rates it's quite silly. Though I do have a BKC, I'd still want the other Hoods.

Random Math regarding pages. (Pretty sure to do, but some don't know)
50(one hood [3*])+50(one fetish for 4*)+100(two festishs for 5*) • 3(all the hoods)
200 • 3 = 600 pages.
Then if you want the Black Kat + 150, so 750 pages

It's quite crazy, but I'm pretty I'm not alone. Though I would like to keep farming, I can't. Prestige go.

Pfft. What a bunch of wimps, I say! I took it like a tank and made all 9 Kat Hats (including 3* and 4* because they look nice!) and snagged me a BKC during the first week of the first event. The only thing keeping me going this round is my greed, my desire to get my grubby little hands on another Book of Dark Rituals

Crazy? Maybe. But at least I ain't Mad.

Last Black Kat event was far easier to farm out compared to this mess. From what I know a lot of my friends, including myself, have having their finals next week so it's fairly hard to really find the time to hunt like there's no tomorrow.

Meep.

To some people, it's the thrill that they get to earn/craft/buy some of the goods in the new updates/events that makes them strive to do so much. E.g Shroud of Apocrea weapons.

To merchants/sellers/people who just want the $£$, it's a great way to gain profit from selling these goods and to further increase their profits, they'll need to increase their stock. (To them, TIME = Money and Money = TIME)

Mengggggh, my dearest! I am one of those people who enjoy that thrill. "I want at least one item per event" If I ever did have the time, or patience that is, I'd merch some stuff, but I don't. Sure, I could farm some when I do have some time, but it'd have to be alone. "All by myself."

The rate of appearance for the Black Kats in the first even was much bigger than it is now (as was the drop rate for the Book; I got one in the very first Kat run I did, and there were tons of people bragging about their own books in the forums and in the game chat). The first even was actually fun because we could also get a few friends, do separate runs and invite each other when we saw a BK. Ever since OOO put in the new loot system, though, that stopped working because people need to be in the party before the Kat spawns, otherwise they get no pages (I think. Did they change that already?). Add to that they made BK spawn rates super low after the Elevators became free, and this previously fun event (for me, at least) became a grindfest hardly worth the effort.

I'm currently only doing it for the Black Kat pet, but I probably won't have the patience for it; it's just a reskin of the Seraphynx anyway.

I'm doing it because I have friends without BKCs, and I'd like them to have them. I found one book, and gifted it off already. I have at least 3 more to hopefully find and send off. Failing that, I have some of those tasty 2% accessory drops to trade :D
