Somehow Steam has some major server problems right now, when I start SK it says after a while that there is a problem with the servers and I should try again later. But it's been 1 hour and it still doesn't work. And I've seen on the SK Steam Forums that there are several people with the same problem so I'd love to get a response from a dev or gm or someone who knows how to fix the problem asap.
Ok so I've deinstalled and then reinstalled it but didn't worked what a surprise.

Just tell your friends to log off their game and exit steam. We will all be in the same boat then :)
So, I cannot log on to Spiral Knights via the website or the stand alone client, because it tells me "This account has been converted to Steam. Select use Steam Account to log in.", there is no "Use Steam Account" box like when logging in with Steam, so, nice to know that syncing your account with Steam is a curse at times.....
I think it's about system clock of spiral knights on steam, because when you login with non-steam client, projectx.txt file matches your system clock but projectx.txt file in steam version doesn't match (have big difference). Other games on steam doesn't have this problem. I had this problem with other games before and that was because of my friend who changed my computer's clock, i couldn't even sign in many websites. I hope it helps someone to fix that problem.
If people looked past the insane sales, everyone would realize that Steam is a horribly buggy platform.
@Whimsicality- I have never had an issue with Steam before today, and I think it shows that this game is just as buggy because the people who have synced their accounts up with Steam HAVE to sign in through Steam.
Having the same problem for the past 2 hours sadly. I did hear a few people say they got it working by logging out of steam and logging back into their account. Didn't work for me though so idk...
I'm just a few tokens away from 5*. I log off to take a break and then this happens. Now I feel like stabbing a fly with the smallest needle I can find.

It doesn't feel like routine maintenance, they didn't say it, in fact, the way they do maintenance is a one-by-one maintenance, due to their copious amount of servers.
I suspect another DDoS attack, it has happened before.

Same here, Steam is acting really weird. (Well, it always does. :p)
Same with me. Trying to get onto the forums. Steam has been having on and off problems since last night. Devs can't help with steam issues.
