I used the search, but couldn't find anything specifically about this and thus:

Suggestion: Friend icons in the Friend list have an optional hover-activated tooltip which you can fill in yourself to remind you who a person is.

Reason: I like to help folk out with information, tips, help here and there. I'm by no means omniscient in the SK-world, but I do what I can when folk ask. This means I have a handful of people who have added me to their friend list just achos of this friendliness. However, as I don't really interact with them on a daily basis, I sometimes get confused who's who, and I have no doubt they have a similar problem with me.

Allowing me to write "Sold a [Plate Shield] & explained CE by Town Square Alch" and have it pop up like a weapon tool-tip when I hover over their name would really help me and folk of a similar disposition.

This is cool! I don't know if it would be possible, but if it is I totally want it.

EDIT: If the friend tooltip gets added, a tooltip for the people I /ignore would be cool too. So I could identify who got ignored for begging, who was spamming in chat, who was a jerk to me, etc.

Social Tooltips?

That's a brilliant idea actually Providence. Perhaps calling them "Social Tooltips" would be more appropriate then?

I really hope that this is a possibility and that it gets the support it requires.
