Oh. It would presumably be on a new battle sprite. I imagine this new battle sprite to have a focus on supporting the team with non-health type buffs, but it could go quite a few ways I suppose.

What about as a Sprite Perk instead, with MSD and ASD? That'd be easier to implement instead of coding a new Sprite. Plus it'd let me to achieve even more MSD than with full Ancient + Torto shield :D

It could also replace that skill from the Seraphynx that grants higher chance to drop hearts from enemys. To me that would be a decent trait for the pet anyways. For better or worse thats my opinion. :T

What..

What if they just bring back the old revive :P. After they removed this health sharing revive Spiral knights lost half of its co op. I just want everyone to be able to revive each other without having to use a god damn spark of life. Also it would be nice to have it in a new sprite but only limited players could afford to get it and this way a small amount of players will be able to work like the old days again.

Well, if you bring back health revs, you'd have to most likely bring back mist.

"Secondly, because this is

"Secondly, because this is something that already was in the game and was something that to some degree provided an element of teamwork to the game."

Giving half heat was removed because (admins said so) there wasn't teamwork.

The reason the developers said that it was detrimental, and why we shouldn't bring it back directly to begin with, was because people relied on it as well as abused it. Dying had no consequence, and defense meant nothing, because your friends would almost always revive you and you'd revive them, such that everyone had 2-3 bars of health at any given time. Anyone not reviving people was considered a stick in the mud, as if they were too stuck up. This lead to in fighting over heat, jealousy over health drops, and was kind of awful.

To counter this, I have provided several measures to make sure it cannot be abused. Namely, the health revive is limited to once per team mate per level, and the user MUST be above half health.

If I'm playing with 3 garbage players and they all run out and die, I'll be able to revive only one of them before having to move along. Why? Because after doing so, I will be at below half health. Under this scenario, the party would just be stuck again when the single player died. I never dip down below 1/4 of my total health during a revive, and I am never able to single handedly keep the entire party alive off of just the ability. Instead, the ability allows me to occasionally help a single newer player out, when the entire party is going well. If the entire party were to try to rely on the ability, they would fail as soon as they all lost their health and subsequently their ability to revive each other.

A better example of these rules in action would be a party of 4 experienced players, where we aren't just being awful at the game. On the final wave of an arena, if all the mobs target one player and trap her in a corner then there is a good chance that that player will end up dying. When this happens, me and my sprite ability could step in and allow the party to live on longer than it would have otherwise. Having multiple people with this ability could further it by a bit, but that's true of every other sprite skill.

The very nature of reviving someone else, especially with your health, implies that you are functioning as a team, and saying that it offered nothing is nonsense-- especially when there was at some point a decision to add this element to the game. The bad may have outweighed the good, but the good was definitely still there.
