I don't own a vog set, so my Question is: do you find the very high atk spd bonus helpful in terms of
1) allowing the shield to pop up, and/or
2) more chances of casting the last hit of the combo (eg. 3rd hit of levi / brandish, 2nd hit of DA / GF) to interrupt T3 mob's attack.
my concern is how much does Vog offer survivability. i'm sure both cases above do apply in some cases, but how often, practically speaking.
I find that while wearing my Vog set that my attacks are considerably faster than when I'm not and allow me to end my combos before shielding. Generally speaking.
With Full Vog My gran faust attacks at almost normal speed.

It's not normal if you've got a Very High speed reduction, now is it?
it's nearly normal in between sword groups, where heavy swords usually qualify as slow and caliburs as normal.
(and did you mean speed increase instead of reduction?)
I use GF, and when I don't wear my vog, I can't even pull off the 2nd swing, so yeah it helps.
