We experienced a problem authenticating with Steam...
Is there anyway I can by pass this?
I tried looking up a solution but it seems they disabled the facebook button by pass as well and now steam users can't even use browser launch...
This is seriously annoying.
Wish SK would provide us with a free package stuffed with bound unbind tickets..so we could start over.. "not in steam" U_U
As far as I know, several people I know who use Steam (myself included) are having this issue. I'm going to assume it's an issue with Steam or something is being insanely derpy :<

i think its a steam related issue. past few weeks, ive been having problems logging onto sk and doing trades via steam (inventory bug of some sort)
Yup, just tried to log in and I got the can't authenticate with steam message.
Same here, when i tried to login just now, its having the same steam authenticating problem, just started right now.

I'm crying into my keyboard about this. Whyyyyyyyyyy???? Whyyyyyyy????? Must I play other games until it's fixed? Must I read a book?!?!? Whaaaaaaahhhh
Normally they would post something like this on Twitter or Facebook. Kind of annoying they seem to just be ignoring the problem as far as I can tell.
This is why switching to Steam is a horrible idea and OOO should get off their hoards of booty and hire a programmer to allow for switching back over to the standalone client.
THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME TOO. THEY SHOULD EXTEND THE EVENT OR GIVE US FREE STUFF.

Well, i don't want to be "that" guy, but Thebrozedragon has his point.
I can only play a few hour a day and it's being really hard for me to colect ancient pages. One full day without play it's a lot. Also, i buy trinket and weapon slots that i will use for one day less. So yeah, this is a big deal.
I submitted a support tech support ticket on the issue, and Helios cited this:

in the reply, pointing out that there was likely a problem that caused partial disconnects from steam which we may just have to wait for steam to recover from until it lets us log onto SK. In other words, it's not a lasting problem but might lead to us, *gasp*, having to spend time somewhere else for a little while.
I spend the other twenty two hours of my day doing something else. It's really nice to be able to go out and skewer spookats and stuff. I'm not some hardcore gamer who grinds for 9 hours a day and has invested like a thousand bucks in the game.
I don't buy the "stock answer".
Every other game I own on Steam seems to work just fine.
I tested with at least 8 others and they all connect on the first go.
Submitted the following SK tech support ticket

I'm having this problem too! What's going on here? Why none of us can get into the game with our Steam accounts? And I read that the log in was disabled for Steam accounts when I clicked the facebook sign in too. Why did they disable the Steam account log in ability anyway?
Looks like this fix might take a while. Ugh. Oh well, hopefully Steam will be back soon for SK.
They disabled the steam web login because there was a problem with it and they didn't want to fix it, instead choosing to make it "unsupported"

wow 4 hours and still cant get on to the game. I hope when I get up tomorrow they will have fixed the issue.

okay so im finally in. what i had done is wait along time in the log in page and all sudden when i pressed log in it worked :) hope you guys make it
It looks like games using Steam Login are becoming accessible again for Steam users. Spiral Knights log in from Steam should be possible again now.
Whoever broke this, gets unpaid overtime and Hawaiian shirt day.
This is so wierd its my birthday and i try to play spiral knights and it isnt working its coming that we experienced a problem authenticating with steam. Ive tried so many things but none work D: Please help. Ty.
You aren't the only person having this issue. I am, and few more friends are. I was able to log in just fine earlier, and I *know* I'm not logged in anywhere else! >_< All I want to do is just grind for more Ancient Pages!
