is there any way for sea player to use sprite skill ?
is there a hope for sea player sprite skill ?
Wait. You have wifi down there? Say hi to Spongebob for me.
Joking aside. I'm from SEA and I use sprite skills just fine.
no battle sprite skill, they say if we got bad ping it can't be used hahah
well thats the problem T-T i have very bad ping and delayed about 1-2s
hope they can make it we bad ping player can use sprite skill, with delayed animation or something lol
Yeah, I'd say it's all about your Ping and wifi, maybe change your region too? (EU is better for people in SEA, so I've heard"
It would probably be best if you and aquaman swam to the US or Europe to play the game, as there are currently no ocean servers for sea players such as yourself.
Now what exactly are you asking about???
I'm in Australia and I've never bothered to get a Battle Sprite simply because they never use their ability when you want them to if you have anything above a latency of 350. It's like the message times out after 350 milliseconds, which is complete rubbish.
Why are weapon attacks, cooldowns, and charge times simulated on the client, while Sprite Cooldowns are dependent on some sort of evil hybrid communication between server and client?
They need to fix Sprites. Right now, they could get hacked! (Highly random guess)
What's really weird is the nature of the disjoint:
I've had an Australian friend show me when we both went to EU server. I (as a 3rd party) could see his character doing the point animation when he called it to do skills (so some message went through), but his pet pulled a charmander and refused to do anything.
should move this to technical issues - it's a real bug lol.
When i have a big delay i just stop moving and keep the button pressed for a second. It's not great when you are in danger, but works.
Buy a router :P That helps :D
Nehh, that's false. There's a chance that he's not on a network with more than one computer. In that case, he doesn't have to use IP masquerading. Assuming his computer is setup to work on its own, there is no need whatsoever for a router.
However, I do not believe Windows has this functionality. If the OP is using Windows, then yes, he'll need a router. That's one of the reasons why I don't like Windows...but that's for another day.
@Seiran
So, so weird. I've seen people do this. I don't know WHY they would setup the server/client to work like this. All it does is complicate things. It really needs to work like any old attack...unless there is some limitation? But they added dashing'n'bashing just fine... (Also, Autofire is my IGN. I didn't get to tell you in the other thread.)
Well that's really interesting. I think I'm going to test something the next time I play. I'm going to start a level, cut my connection with my laptop's button, and then try to use my sprite.

That's exactly right.
Holding down the Sprite Skill just causes your knight to point like an idiot. Everyone else can see it. But your Sprite pretends it can't.
Lucky SEA players getting a movement the rest of us don't. I wish I could do that if I removed my Battle Sprite. It would bring a whole new meaning to /poke.
Yeah, I'd rather be able to point forever than use a sprite skill.
See, totally real B|
@Autofire:
haha, that was a while ago.
BUT NOW YOU'LL NEVER GET IT, MWAHAHA
Ping times cause delays, they don't remove actions entirely. Most likely, it's a bug in the code that cancels actions which take too long to respond.
Either that or you're dropping packets. But it's unlikely that every single sprite animation is dropped.
I live on the west coast with 60-100ms ping times. Sometimes when my connection is unstable, my sprite attacks don't work either.
@Auto-Target
If that's the case, then I should be able to shoot my gun and not have any bullets come out. Or plant a bomb and not have the handy little package sit on the floor like a good little handy package.
I'mspritesmac Os X and when I started usig Battle sprites, without Router ofc...My sprites won't work, 2 months later, Ta-Da...It finally works...with the router
Don't you need a router to connect to the internet... Even cabled commections need one. That or, you were using your cellular data, which I've heard of some SEA players doing
Well, The router helps you connect to your modem better :P Because regular homes in SEA provides 5-10 mbps ,so the internet is slow and the information sent from the internet still needs to send the info to your computer thus making it even slower...so a Router might help send information from the modem to the computer better...
@Pandafishie : Cellular data sucks here !?!? It can't even handel 5 mbps...Cellular data would make you wanna ragequit in any online game...
You're an American...No ?
P.S. No wonder you get 2 bars :P Even if the server is just around the block...
^ that told me I had a Ping grade of F when I was connected to a server 2 hours from my city...
Mhm... American internet is fantastic.
Not until we can have mermaids and mermen Sprites.
I...what? Do you mean something about Puzzle Pirates?
