I mean, really. I can't enjoy playing any clockwork depths anymore, let alone try getting Radiants for new gear. I'm just curious.

What are Radiants?

Oh yeah, those things.

I don't farm for them, I just let them naturally come my way. Whenever I check on my orbs or shining crystal count, I'll notice that my Radiant count is either low/average/high, and I'll forge accordingly (like getting a couple weapons up to level 2, or heating a weapon from level 4 to 5, etc).

Can't remember the last time I actually went to D25 and above for the sole purpose of finding Radiants.

I do I do I do.

I farm for radiants. Its not like I'm doing much out of the ordinary to get them though. I already sought out D26-D28 arenas/danger rooms constantly before this, now I'm just being rewarded for it and penalized for doing anything BUT this. It is that freedom, to go on other runs than my favorites, that I miss. Being forced to decide upon having fun OR "progressing" my arsenal is sadly still an issue for me.

longing for apocrea/after core-missions

I do a few t3 runs every now and then, preferably w/ arenas and gear-ikoned maps (for danger rooms) after d25.

But is just simply do ufsc-s go get rads. Speaking of which, I still have a some keys, so if u wana get 60-70 rads, send an in-game msg or post here. Fee is 20k, on elite, eu server, gear and/or experience required. As u may know, the run grants ~20k, so u basically get ur money back (+6 tokens and the tear).

/me still has nine 5* items which'd need like 4k rads...
/sigh

not me

Not me, because I rarely craft anything. So I have a bunch saved up, which should get me through the aftermath of the gunner update.

That said, I recognize that radiants are precious, so I always take note when I find them.

I have some event 5* gear to

I have some event 5* gear to level up but not in dire need of doing so. So...I don't farm them in particular anymore.

I Went Hard after the sprite update to get my Seraphynx maxed out in a week, then Went Sorta Hard for the other two after sprite pods became buyable, so as a side effect I'm pretty much set for life on everything besides low level orbs.

I barely play t3 at all anymore, except for the occasional event. Radiant requirements are just insane, so I'd rather go to tier 2 and get some orbs instead.

I need like 1500 more radiants to fully level all my gear. And I get an average of 24 per run.

Radiants are the least I

Radiants are the least I could care about in this game, it's shinings I'm having problems with. I'm fine with 4*.

Shinings are EASY to get. Just play ANYWHERE IN TIER 3. I have like 1500 of them.

So... you guys just don't get 5* gear any more? I mean, I guess it makes sense, because its painful and not fun to make 5* gear now, but what do you even do? Just hoard stuff?

@Fehzor

I can't play the game at all right now, so I'm not doing anything. I would be doing FSC though so I can FINALLY get that dang frosty tailed helm I couldn't get last Winterfest.

Oh I get 5* stuff. I just never get to forge it.

After running Alone in the

After running Alone in the Dark/Weight of Darkness hundreds of times, I'm literally sitting on over 5k shinings. x_x I'd share if I could!

I don't explicitly farm for radiants, so it's always a pleasant surprise when I realize I can forge some stuff up. Just finished getting my Glacius to level 10, now I have either my Obsidian Crusher or something new. It's slow and steady and sometimes frustratingly slow when CTR is important, but with Chaos armor, it's a bit less of a big deal.

Actual playing?

Since a lot of my friends have more or less moved on, I don't play the clockworks for any reason anymore. Didn't even farm for another BKC this time because even if I did for some extra CE, the game doesn't offer anything more to an oldie but costumes to dress up my dollie pretty and events that vanish for extensive periods. Talking gear wise, I only like guns and swords, and I have them all as well as heated with the exception of 4 weapons that are plain overshadowed by the other things I've heated in the past. Maybe gunner update will change that how I feel, I don't know, I'm sticking around longer if it does.

LD is fun though, but hardly a compelling reason to log on and play more than 30 minutes at most since matches are often containing one or two egotistical circle jerkers that insist on enforcing their competitive mindset in a random match and call foul on anyone that--god forbid--endanger their farmed damage stat.

Anyway, If I'm not doing LD, I'm posting here and happily offering insight to those that want answers to SK questions...except unless you're an Ichigo, then I'd advise you to just play the game and stop repeating questions that drive us crazy.

Moved on from the entire focus of the game?!

Spiral knights without the clockworks is like Pokemon without battles.

I agree, and because the focus of that was lost through missions and other factors, it's commonplace to find a lot of people leaving as you know. But new people join too, so I suppose make friends with them and play the game then, though you're likely only doing this it to distract yourself from the biggest issue of SK. It's not always the case, no, but I imagine it's an issue that plenty of oldies face.
