I mean, I'm sure this is chump change because I only recently came back to SK about 2 months ago (after the change to forge for upgrading gear), and I have been spending Radiants at a pretty decent rate, but geez.
Call Me Danny Torrance, because
Sorry, but I don't get it. What is wrong/surprising about that image?
Stanley Kubrick directed a film named "The Shining" in which a character named Danny Torrance has this thing named "Shining" and the OP has lots of shinings and this is the way of OP saying "I have lots of shinings."
I would have expected "Here's Johnny!" --- it's a more forceful cultural touchstone.
And, at the risk of deflating the original poster, 2,500 Shining Fire Crystals is not much.
But I'll stop being a scrooge now. Enjoy your surplus. :)
Like I mentioned in the OP, I realize full well that that amount wouldn't be much compared to people who have been playing since the Forge changes were rolled out - I took a break from SK for a long time. But after coming back, getting some friends into the game and getting them up to speed (around 2 months ago), the *perception* of the ratio of Radiant to Shining crystals is kinda staggering, even if at a deeper level it makes sense that someone who has a lot more 5* gear than 4* gear is perpetually going to be out of Radiants.
It was just a silly joke :P
Shinings are valuable and necessary to farm when you're working up to 5* the first time, but once you move on to Radiants as your main bottleneck, the Shinings pile up real fast.
This is also coming from someone who doesn't consider themselves a FSC farmer.
Sad thing is we'll never use these. :(
That's 3306 Glowings, not Shinings
My eyes have decieved me yet again. /gomen
