Why not just extend both the event AND the prize box?
Because they want to give us less event and more RNG.
It was managed to keep the boxes longer temporarily due to complicated and super demonic dark rituals caused by the Devs. (There are seperate rituals for boxes and Black Kats, don't get the two confused) You should be happy they didn't use you as a sacrifice for the rituals, and you also probably shouldn't be questioning the logic behind it or you probably will be sacrificed next time they start preforming dark arts.
@Sandwich: Not at all. I was just trying to emphasize that we spend loads of money on a RNG.
But they could have easily skewed it in a positive light, and made themselves look good even though they're just stalling for time..
Due to steam complications during the event, we have extended both the event and the prize box that goes with it by one more week. It is now set to end on May 19th.
They could even have had one of the artists touch up the black kat's ray of heavenly light to be evil looking, and improved upon the black kat reskin of seraphynx.
Many players recently questioned the validity of the dark depths from which Black Kat Seraphynx arose.. no more, for our art team has provided it with all new descriptions/names, options for ultimate skills, and evil looking attacks!
The event has been extended one week for those interested in Seraphynx's newly discovered dark prowess.
So many missed opportunities.
And how did they change the Black Seraphynx? Using more dark rituals of course!

I'm actually glad this terrible piece of event is ending. I can now uninstall this game in peace and stop grinding MAO for peanuts.
Because they're busy with the gunner update, so bombs will work yesterday.
