So you can't find anybody to play on Clockworks & Missions eh?
Or maybe you simply don't trust random players in your party?

Well, i have a simple idea to YOU! Solo Knights of Haven,
I present to you..The Companion system!

Ever imagined to have a Trojan, Bomberkat, or Gremlin Gunslinger as your henchman?
Yes, now you going to have someone trustworthy to help in your adventures! (Like your Squire)
AND you can take ALL the LOOT by yourself, profit! ($ᴗ$)و ̑̑

Same as pets, companions can be acquired by completing quests.

That's all folks! Good or Bad idea?

*Random Noises*

While i'd love a little bomber spookat trail me..
This idea kinda takes jolly cooperation and throws it to the wind.

A game based around multiplayer, especially an MMO should NOT have incentives for players to go solo.
The game should encourage you to play with people, making fun happen, causing players to keep playing, those players may buy things with real monies, and then OOO gets profit.

TL;DR: Encouraging solo play is a no-no. Encouraging jolly cooperation is big yes.

Cool Concept Comrade!

Yes... that is all +1

I imagine this like having the AI knights and they just go around doing there own thing, you would equip them with there own gear depending on who they are
like you start out with a basic squire, this guy can only start out with proto gear and is wearing the npc knight gear but then upgrades to something like the calibur or the blaster or the blast bomb after you defeat the Snarbolax and you can choose what weapon you want to give him

then later on you can hire/recruit a Gremlin or a friendly slime cube or a recon ranger and the gremlin would only be able to use things like the Antigua or the blast bomb or a troika while something like a recon ranger will only be able to use the cutter or the autogun

personally I love this idea and would like to see this expanded upon

maybe even let him chill around the guildhall

People suggested this a number of times, but it was always pointed out how worthless mecha knights are, and how the knight is already strong enough. This lead into the battle sprites forming as "pets" or "henchmen" or what have you. So in a way, this is already in the game as battle sprites.

I wouldn't oppose to more friendly mobs that you can summon, but I think that they should perhaps be tied to certain areas and not just for use whenever wherever.

I'm gonna have to say no. Pets belong in RPGs, not ARPGs.
