It's time for another collaborative fiction featuring the Special Investigstors.
You can apply for a part in the fiction by suggesting, in this thread, a character and an area you'd like to investigate that fits into the story. If you get accepted, the Dragon Princess will send you a mail in the story thread.
You should plan on posting chapters fairly regularly for a few weeks until we wrap up the story.

Name: Chris Aether
Age: 29
Appearance: Short, Skinny, Yellow Personal Color, face covered by cowl.
Weapons and Armor/gear: Kat eye Cowl and Divine Cloak. Slightly worn but still fresh of visual damage. Carries a Grey Owlite Shield, the extra defense is good along with the lighter weight. His weapons include a Nova Driver, he nicknamed it Crossway. And a Sentenza, named NightHawk. Chris is not very good during combat, save he is good at making ricochet's hit where it will do the most damage.
Personality: A bookworm, Chris is more interesting in studying Owlite's than most other things. He isn't very social and likes to read instead. As soon as he discovered the Owlite's and their writings he began to research as much of it as he could. He crafted a Sentenza in hopes of finding some sort of connection between the holographic owl and the Owlites. He has yet to find any connection. During his research he came across the Owlite High Academy. There he found his Kat eye cowl and learned about how the Owlite's perished. He still is determined to find out as much as he can about the birdlike users of magic.
Area of Investigation: I would like Chris to be researching the magic armorset and figuring out what its connection is to the swarm, as the Divine set is one of the few sets resistant to curse. His investigation will take him to the various abandoned Owlite Academies and Scarlet Fortresses.

Name: Nish McGrit
Age: 54
Gender: Male
Apearance: Worn-down and dirty "clothes" that are reinforced with little protective pads are the majority of his attire. His bald head sits bare while his face is shrouded by equipment; he wears a faded skeleton bandana to cover up his crooked teeth, and his eyes are covered with orange goggles he claims lets him see better in the dark, but in reality they just block dirt from falling into his eyes. On his back he carries an extensive pack for mining including a handheld drill, rope, and a caged snipe to warn him of any dangerous gases whilest digging.
Weapon and gears:
Warforged Pickaxe (Similar to Rocket hammer)
Personality: Very greedy and energetic, Nish isn't one freindships, but always one for 'alliances' so long as it benefits him. He talks quick and has a nack for low-brow wit, he is usually very observant of his surroundings, but never restrained. He has an opinion, and he'll tell you what it is...weither you want to hear it or not.
Area of Investigation: All that glitters! With a plethera of new magical shards, substances, and geodes to be found, or exploited, Nish would be venturing into the various underground channels below the wildwoods and compounds in search of new materials/minerals to bring back for further research.
Trivia: Nish has a criminal history with the kingdom after he 'accidentally' drilled himself into the treasury. Though he was let off easily, since he was promptly caught without having taken anything, he and the princess would not be on 'freindly' terms with one another. He probably wouldn't be called upon if he wasn't the very best at what he does.
I'm really enjoying your story.
I'll keep my fan fic character's name as Mawashimono. If you could change that message to "Dear Mawashimono" that would be great.
Looking for ward to more chapters from all of you. As for mine, I'm really working on character and relationship development, so there won't be a lot of action in mine.

It looks like a few of you have concluded your stories. Thank you so much for your contributions. I'll go ahead and warp things up with a conclusion.
Sometimes, I don't even know why I am apping this anymore after what you did to me last time. But oh well... I will just leave one here if anyone keen on listening to some of the most epic tale of your life. Don't you all just love my complex characters, extensive lore and horrible writting?
Name: Penumbra Greyionne, former title: head knightess of Nowensgrad
Age: 65
Gender: female
Apearance: long grey hairs covered her pale wrinkled face, an old, fraile lady in her mid 60, having survived both the first and second Isoran civil war as well as the Morai war. Her body is stainned by war both physically and mentally, a scar can still be seen on her belly that can no longer bare children, a scar left by someone she knew, someone she loved.
Weapon and gears: Standard Azure guardian set with a grey coloured cape instead of the usual red, the light blue platings are tarnished by the forgoten battles. An aegis shield with a large chunk of the body missing due to old engagements, strangely, the damage actually lightens up the shield and makes it eaiser for the old knightess. A long yet thin leviathan blade(designed for female combatant) with her name and her former title 'knightess of Nowens grad' carved on the frame of the sword. The sword is old but it was kept in good shape by penumbra, a relic that packed with nostalgia. Penumbra also has a charred photo of her lost son in her possession, an item that relieves her of her dying heart (she suffered numerous stroke) and gives her the courage to live on.
Personality: silent, prefer solo operation, despite been an old lady, Penumbra is unmatched with her modified leviathan blade, the blade flied around her as if she was still a vibrant, 20 years old young lady with a whole life ahead of her. Penumbra's sword technique is similar to Darth Vader from Star Wars, very defensive and only strike when her opponent's guards are down, after all, she can't swing the swords all day without having a stroke. Penumbra never blieves that there is such a thing as good and evil in this world, only a dark grey penumbra (her namesake), a woman who rejected the idea of morality and lives only by her code of honor.
If this app gets accepted (i know that would be unlikely):
-Penumbra will try and venture into the forgotten land of the necropolis, to find a 'man' who oversaw the creation of the cradle, and see if he knows the weakness of the swarm. The man in question's identity will be kept unknown for now, he will be Penumbra story arc's final boss.
-Penumbra will have a companion on her journey, a young field researcher by the name of Avelan, a sharp contrast with Penumbra. Sadly, as tenaious as this young man is, he has no experience in combat and Penumbra often went out of her way to protect him.
Trivia:
Head Knightess of Nowensgrad was the title Penumbra recieved when the grey guards were first established. They were made up of a team of elite vanguards, dedicating their lives to protect the laws and orders of the city of Nowensgrad back on planet Isora. But then everything came crashing down on the knightess when the city was taken over a by a mad roit, AKA. second Isoran civil war. All of the grey guards died during the war except for her, and without her fellow knights, the knightess title is next to meaningless. But still, Penumbra used that title with pride, showing the youngsters that some memories are not meant to be forgotten.
