Seraphynx's Shield - Valkyrie vs Seraphic

I know that Valkyrian Aura gives CTR Max and Seraphic Aura gives shield regen.
I've read that both can let you walk through traps and both give a defense bonus.
When standing around waiting for an elevator I've seen a Valkyrian Aura last longer than Seraphic. I haven't had a chance to time it (most people I know choose Seraphic). Has anyone compared?
Does the Valk soak up less damage? Are there some other functional differences that aren't in the wiki?

I've searched the forums for a thread discussing this but haven't found any.

Seems like they both last about 8 seconds. If you've seen someone else's last longer it might be that glitch where you'll still see the aura around them even if it expires (they don't see it on their client, only you do)

Damage looks to be the same too, at least when testing it in the advanced training hall's pits they both broke at around the same time

So just go by which effect you want more.

I'm pretty sure that they're both the same, but I haven't tested it. I'll let you know in several years when my burger king seraphynx gets to level 100 and I have access to both ultimates.

Flowchart is probably right though-- there is a bug that makes the auras visually stay around much longer than they ought to.

The choice between shields is

The choice between shields is usually determined on how you play... If you prefer team support then seraphic is good. For a more offensive choice go for Valkyrian and spam max CTR whatevers.

Fyi the Valkyrian CTR makes everything max so that means bombers will see less use as max CTR is what every bomber should go for (max ctr from armor and lvl 10 bomb does not add with the max ctr of valkyrian to reach double than max). On the other hand bombers don't shield much either thus the shield regen of seraphic might only work in certain situations.
