Do you lose your pills, vitas, party leader ranking, heat, etc?

Meep.

Erm...
I believe it just changes your name. Everything like pills, vitas, heat and party leader ranking stays the same but it's always good to try it out.
Don't mind if I add this to my Mythbusters list?

I doubt it. I bet that each

I doubt it. I bet that each player is identified with some unique ID and not by nickname.

@Blastcore I don't know if they fixed it yet but people can bypass the ignore list simply by changing their name, as the ignore list will only have the old name and not their new name.

@OP Since it logs you out I doubt it, although you could also keep them (mostly) since they say you will be disconnected for a while after changing name... eh... but if you disconnect normally don't you at least lose all your heat?

@Qwoa

That's why!

I remember putting this guy Sixty-Nine-Dude on ignore, he got kicked from LD, then some guy name Zero-Dude says something about a name change by the GMs.

Mind-blowing!

Aye, that's how it works. What's also to note is that your ignore list is stored on your PC, not on the SK server. I have different people ignored depending on whether I'm at my mother's or at my father's.

Contri once asked me to ignore Feller (then Ruby-Rider) but he changed name and I cannot be arsed trying to ignore every name he'll ever have. Wish ignores supported wildcards. Then I could just ignore *Feller* and *Rider.

Better yet

What happens if you are in the process of changing your name in a clockworks run where the action is taking place and you die in the process?

What happens if you change name while doing a SL, after sending a support request to GMs, while dead, while a party mate is reviving you?

Your turn OOO, your turn...

Yawn.

Ignore list solely depends on the name. It is possible to add a non-existant name to your ignore list.

And it seems to delete your old account, as Dibs was able to still see chat by Pennzqwu after I name changed to Solanales.

Chat feed is client sided, not server sided.
Doubly so in the Ready Room.
