Is this a pretty good "Dream Gear?"

I've been thoroughly looking in the Wiki & finally made up my mind on which items to get & what UV's they should have. But first, I would like some Reviews on it. That's where you come in. I'm aiming for a Strong, Fire-Based Knight, capable of taking hits & GIVING them.

Dragon Scale Helm(Looks pretty cool with a nice Bonus vs Beast to it) w/ Shadow Resistant UV MAXIMUM!

Volcanic Demo Suit(I'm a BomberMan fan, so I picked the 2* Version of it & loved it) w/ Shock Resistant UV MAXIMUM!

Crest of Almire(Very hard to get, but I'm not giving up) w/ Elemental Resistant UV MAXIMUM!

Combuster(Looks like a Fire Version of the CIV) w/ Reduced Charge Time Very High

Irontech Destroyer(Cause it has my name in it :D) w/ Increased Attack Speed OR Charge Time Reduction UV Very High

Everything seems easy to get for me, except the Blackened Crest for the Crest of Almire(I've heard you can get it in Tier3 Arenas.)

So, what do ya think?

Depends

I like the theme. Very nifty. But, if you're planning on getting all that, any thoughts on getting more weapon slots, too? Would definitely be worth it.

Right now I could see a functional issue with damage vs beasts and gremlins, since they are strong against elemental (and your UV to beasts will not counteract that in Tier 3)

Also, ghosts and zombies may be munching on you harder than you would like, and everything will hit a bit harder, due to your defenses. Piercing defense is generally considered to be the most worthless one since very few enemies do piercing damage, and most enemies do normal damage, which is why it is considered fairly important. Also Irontech Destroyers are not considered to be particularly good, but I'm not a bomber, so can only parrot what I've heard. Check some of the Arsenal section's threads for more info.

Oh, and the Blackened Crest is a very rare drop. Like extraordinarily rare. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll get there eventually, just realize that someone was willing to shell out 1k CE just to see that it had dropped and somebody else had it. I've played a decent amount since the launch, and have only found 3 items in boxes, none of which were all that exciting.

Thanks for replying.

Reading your post, I have a few Questions(Well, not really):

1. What is the Most common damage? Least Common?

2.But aren't Weapon Slots 1 month only things?(At least, from what I heard, er...read.)

3.What weapons/Armor do you recommend?

4.How exactly hard is Tier3?(I've been busy UV farming, so I don't explore as much anymore.)

5.What UV's do you recommend for my Dream Equipment so far?

6.What item should I replace & why?

7. What will be the most common enemy I'll fight on Tiers2-3?

Oh jeez,

it'd be hard enough to get an Almire at all, nonetheless a UV max xD \
Since getting the drop of blackened will only get you a single Almire, and only like one guy has gotten a single one? Gl with your quest though~ I can admire your high goals.

your questions answered...

1.) most common damage types in order: Normal, Elemental, Shadow, Piercing. Again, in that order.

2.) yes, they are only 1 month... they cost 250 ce. with 2-3 jelly palace runs, you paid that off. that leaves the other 27-28 days of the month.

3.) Recommendations are hard... because everyone does things differently. Ive had great success in Grey Feather Cowl and Mantle, Grey Owlite Shield, using an Acheron and Hail Driver as weapons... and occasionally a Mega Magnus if fiends are unavoidable. Thats just my preference, NOT a recommendation.

4.) um... Harder than tier 3? Lol. Dont know how to judge... I very rarely die soloing the jelly palace (not the king) but I die mroe often than I'd like in tier 3... and thats not including Firestorm Citadel Madness.

5.) UV's are UV's... the bonuses arent SUPER game changing... they are just little things. The UV you will notice most is Attack Speed Increase or Charge Time Reduction on weapons.

6.) I can't tell you which things to replace... because that set may fit your gaming style. I do recommend that you drop anything with piercing resist and get something with elemental resist instead. As for your weapons.... thats even more dependent on style than any armor choices.

7.) Common Enemies... Everything is pretty equal, though if you plan on farming for money, tier 2 Jelly Palace is considered the most profitable for the least risk. So... lots of jellies. Other than that though, I dont believe that any one enemy is more common that any other... it just depends on the gate and stratum make up.

Agreed with Stray Cat

Not much to add in terms of general recommendations, but since you asked, more preferences:

2.) Weapon slots are fully worth the CE, IMO. They allow you to have one of each damage type weapon, or one of each weapon type, depending on your preference.

3.) I use swords, and like increased attack speed, so I have Vog, but tossed in a Fallen armor to help my shadow defense out. An Omega Tortoise shield has done me fine as well.

4.) Tier 3 is harder than tier 2. Enemies hit harder and attack much faster. Some have some added annoying effects. Status effects are MUCH more common. Damage tends to be pure one type or another, not mixed normal + something like it is in tier 2. It's very easy to mess up and get completely hosed, especially in particular situations, but the only way to get around that is practice, really.

5.) I have almost no UVs on my gear (two weapon UVs, a low IAS and a medium damage) and can still do pretty well in Tier 3, including soloing FSC (but not Vanaduke) without too much of a problem. In general, I would recommend UVs on armor that shore up weaknesses (In the current case, Shadow Defense, maybe a resist or two of your least favorite status effect) defense of some type for shields, and either IAS or CTR for weapons, depending on personal preference. Damage vs one particular mob isn't too good, although if you expand your weapon slots, it can be perfectly viable (I have an Acheron with med damage vs Slimes that's quite fun to use)

7.) Most common enemies isn't the question. What do you most have problems dealing with is more pertinent. I have issues with constructs more often than not, so I have an elemental gun to back up my 3 swords. The armor damage bonus is OK, but generally not that important. For example, I have a penalty of medium damage vs fiends on my armor, and at most it tends to make me attack one extra time. Annoying, but far from a drastic game-changer.

Alright, thanks.

I've made it up, & have decided to get a Weapon Slot for a Cold Iron Vanquisher w/ UV MAXIMIM! Increased Attack Speed for Graveyards, Increased Attack Speed for Irontech Destroyer, & maybe a Trinket Slot.

May want to reconsider

I've heard the Cold Iron Vanquisher is not as good as the Leviathan in general, and your combuster will do rather well against the undead already. But if you're more liking the look, and CIV does look pretty cool, can't blame you there.

Oh, and bombs gain no benefit from increased attack speed. Go for a charge time reduction.

Noted. Thanks.

And I picked the CIV, because of the Undead Bonus it's got. Good for graveyards, since they're tons of Zombies there. I'll try to see if there's a better sword.
