Honestly im realy pissed now. I mean realy? we had 10 box things now without any real playabel content! (the tortodrone mission was only 1 single little level ok and the birthday uptade was not that much and to short to realy count as new playabel stuff) so let me count:

Valentine stuff(overpriced, i mean so much ce for a little heart?)

I mean can we now have new missions or a new dlc or something real that isn't a event? i know OOO will put in a new prize box to the next new update too! and i understand that they need money you said the gunner uptade is out 2013 first. so they didn't finshed it yet but they have time to make so much prize boxes, i hate it cause i want the new things with the new uptade and now that the gunner uptade will have boxes to 100% too so i don't know why OOO over do it with the boxes. i feel cheated about the only price box buy thing too cause i get no ce to it and just get crap from the boxes. and the equinox boxes were the worst thing cause about 60% of a ticket, no one who bought it wanted a stupid ticket! that is just scam and i bought about 15 boxes(from players and ce buying) and only get 3 costumes and tickets(about 7 1 star tickets) well i just want to say i hate it not only cause i have not money for it now cause i want the next boxes too (and bought all boxes before at least 3 of theam) but also cause we don't get the gunner uptade and all what i saw on the test server was only some armors and guns and no new missions or a new boss. so i wonder why did it take so long for a some new armors and guns if you can give us in the time so much useless costumes who look so stupid pretty and awesome(at least the galactic ones).
i just don't know why they put to much boxes now in i was one who realy collected at least 1 costume set from every price box event. but i want to buy things that arenn't in spiral knights too so im a bit pissed that they now put in again good items with only 20% (only costumes would be ok cause they wouldn't cost so much) but the ammount of boxes that came out in the time you promised the gunner uptade is just to high OOO

but.. why we need new mission if we just grind same boss mission? dont think new mission going to make endgame player stay longer (except for some people), but mostly they still playing to get better accesory or cool costume or get better uv to show ego.
other game do bring costume box too but unlike sk, they have other thing like double exp, double gold, protect stone, buff and etc to pump their income. you should understand OOO is a small dev team but no other small game can give lot of update and improvement like this game right?
and for now promo box still the best choice to make sk alive because most people, my friend and me spend money for this game only when these box exist.
you say all this after they just added a new mini boss and a new mission in tier 2... just saying. I hear where your coming from and all, but this is an arcade themed game. Was there ever going to be too much of actual content they could ever really add from the start?
Grinchlin assault marked the introduction of the misery block (spiked indestructable block).
Tortodrones marked the introduction of the healing totem and spawning dark gates. (And mysterious rooms.)
Caketastrophy marked the introduction of the spiked barricade (destructable block that dealt damage if you walked into it).
All these things are likely going to be integrated into new and current areas of the clockworks.
i just say i play spiral knights already 3 years and love this game, it is my favorite game and i buy nearly at every event money (not at realy all but at the most) i countet all what i paid together(bad english i know) and all that i know is that i already spend over 500€ in the game (now it's even more im scared of add the newer things up) some persons spend more i know but that is already pretty much, it is more than 10 new games together(normaly a new game cost 50€) but you don't only need artists to get the things in game (costumes) i thing you need the others too :D but i have no clue of programing :/ i just saw nothing realy new that stayed except the costume things in the last 6 months
Please, just think of it this way:
Even if we didn't get a box every 4-5 weeks or so, the gunner update wouldn't come any faster.
I understand you're frustrated, everyone's been waiting a while.
But ranting isn't getting anyone anywhere. As stated, they have lives and families. And they are under the control of the SEGA overlords that have them doing Vog knows what.
Until the update, just relax, have some fun in the clockworks, get some friends together, and have a lovely water balloon fight in haven.
And be glad were getting some neat-o new costumes and weapon reskins for further customization. Which is never a bad thing. Because we could be just going through with no new content besides a few events here and there.
And who wants that? No one.

Yep, OOO usually adds new little content for every repeated event, so I'm still waiting for a better long mission related with Tortodrones when the event comes back.

I have been playing SK since 2011 and despite that I still love this game so much, it needs urgently new levels/missions or a new dlc (don't start a war about this, if you want to play the dlc, just trade your crowns x ce and buy it) But i would pay real money for a new expansion.
A new Danger Mission can be a good idea too, let's wait anyway, I guess that OOO have plans for Herex and the storyline in the next weeks...

This is the worst thing you can do: Buy what they're offering, whether you want it or not, and then come onto the forums complaining about their offerings.
You need to vote with your money. If you don't want their new content, then don't buy it. If you do want it, then do buy it. Three Rings surely pays more attention to revenue than to player rants on these forums.
Basically what Bopp is saying. If you carry on paying for these promos and OOO notice they are getting a good return on them, then expect to be paying for more promos.

They've already confirmed that the gunner update is but weeks away since the launch of the test server. And basically, not much work goes into creating reskins of ARMOR. No effects to program, no new styles to create, it's just simple palette swaps that, hell, even I could do.
If you read posts by other people, you'd know by now they have more people on their art team than developers.
While I'm not a coder, I don't think coding would be too easy and being short of a Nick doesn't help either.
They are working on the gunner update, yes, but that's probably not all.

Whole new boss
Possibly a new level theme (Nick stated we'd be seeing more water)
New missions
Possibly new lore.
Keep in mind they have lives and families too, real life problems exist as well.
The forums, game, wiki and Devs pay checks cost money too, and they have to do Sega's bidding.
