Hey, Thought like starting a thread after getting 2 Rare Monster spawns 2 days in a row (Yesterday and today).

Post a pic if you have one or post what it was like and what you did, Did you kill it? Did it drop anything cool? Post it below.

Location found: Main hallway, First Gun Puppy spawn after leaving spawn area
Dropped: 40 Crowns

I have no idea when or where I found them, but I've seen several rare monsters. Most of them have dropped garbage, but I was able to get two true love lockets from special puppy friends.

Lovely.

I've seen two Love Puppies in the Royal Jelly Palace and a Mewkat in a citadel during a daily clockwork run. No, not the Firestom Citadel. I feel quite bad for taking them out but still... I'm greedy and want their treasure! I've also found two Soul Jellies so far. One in the Wild Woods and the other in the clockworks. Oh! And I've come across two Nicks (Imposto Cubes) in the Royal Jelly Palace.

I've also found a mewkat during my travels. Unfortunately, this was in scarlet fortress and a rocket puppy spawned in the same room. I got out of the way of the rocket by a whisker. The mewkat however....

Fehzor, can you estimate how many love puppies you've seen, to see those two locket drops? I've seen maybe 40, with 0 drops (for me or anyone in my party).

I've encountered a motherload

I've encountered a motherload of the rare monsters, so just a few of the more interesting ones:

FOUR soul jellies under TWO DAYS! (I upload screenshots asap the coast is clear, so you can check the date of posting.)

I've seen Love Puppies maybe once or twice. The first time I saw one though, I was utterly confused, and I felt really bad about killing it after. I've also seen Rock Jellies numerous times, Soul Jellies a few times, and the Impostocubes several different times when running JK. Just recently, however, I saw my first Mewkat! That is, before it got horribly obliterated by our party. Hah.

Love puppies, oh how I remember my first encounter with one. /Flashback

*Narration voice* "We join Captainshockwave, as the buffoon he is, fighting in an arena in the arcade."

"Shockwave, revive me already." Said his associate

"theres enemyz lemme get them" Said the Captainshockwave

*Return to haven*

(After clearing off a horde of enemies, 2 slimes there was one more round to go.)

*Several puppies had popped up, except one was a love puppy.*

"DIE"

*And I killed the love puppy first.

I then encountered it in another arena, once in the Snarbolax woods.

Came across Harry mack in the jelly palace. He had nice hair

Oh yeah, one time, according to the admins, "A glitch" happened and there were sloom levels in the arcade. So it's safe to say I helped the slooms go extinct.

I think something is wrong

I think something is wrong with my account: Whenever I find a rare monster (Love puppy, impostocube, etc.) they never drop anything. maybe I just have terrible luck.

About my last encounter with a rare monster: I was doing a JK run solo, just for crown farming, when suddenly i was swarmed by two giant lichen colonies and an Impostocube, I was corner-locked with a broken shield but managed to fight my way out.

The stupid Impostocube vanished into thin air before i could reach him.

A very glitched mission.

My first love puppies were in och tier 2 in the respawn area where gun puppies respawn. Two on one side, and no drop. I found out later that they dropped things and I was sad.

I believe that drops from rare monsters are not guaranteed upon having the monster spawn. In fact, the drops themselves are rare, making it nearly impossible to, say, get something like a True Love Locket from a Love Puppy, or something similar.

I believe True Love Lockets only will drop from a love puppy if it is in stratum 6. I found one there during the black kat event.

I have found a Soul Jelly

But I never actually did.

Once I found a Soul Jelly while playing as my second character. I was making my way through rank missions when one of the blueskullslimes spawned and began to follow me around. I let it survived long enough for me to take a screenshot, then I killed it. (I will not post the screenshot because my second character is suppose to remain secret. That picture is for me, not you).

But I myself, Bamzalot, have never found a Soul Jelly. But I find lots of Love Puppies. An occasional mewkat as well, but usually everyone else Brandishes it before I have time to let them know. Dang Skolvers...

Too lazy to link posts, but this is a short summary of my experiences with rare monsters:

Personally, I've only encounter 2 Love Puppies myself, a good amount of Impostocubes, and one Soul Jallikins (less than three).

Dem slooms

Was in a Scarlet Fortress Grim Gallery and a Sloom appeared from a monster box. Vaporized it instantly. I was lucky enough to get a Zee core, sold it for 1k cr 2 months before Slooms went extinct.
Seen quite a few Love Puppies, maybe 4.
Seen maybe 2 Impostocubes.
Never seen a Soul Jelly.

I guess I should actually share an experience of mine

I encountered an impostocube in the same spot on my first two Royal Jelly Palace runs. It wasn't until later that I realized that that wasn't actually part of the level. :(

And since then I've run into many rare enemies, and only gotten a true love locket as a drop. (No auras or dapper combos for me.)

Error: Axe Required For Process

I once found an Impostrocube in Jelly Palace during Preview. In the Gloaming Wildwoods, I found the Love Puppy and accepted its love gratefully. In one of the devillite cities, I found Mewkat, but I accidentally killed it while trying to defeat the enemies. No drops from any of them, and the Mewkat was probably one of the greatest regrets of my spiral life

I found a love puppy in, RJP

I found a love puppy in, RJP (replaced gun pup), Black Kat mission (replaced howlitzer), and lichenous lair (replaced polyp).

Soul jelly in Lichenous lair (lasted 2 seconds before it was brandish killed).

Impostocube in RJP, and jelly farm.

Rock jelly pair in LD (everyone stopped playing to follow them around except one tryhard damage farming striker)
Rock jelly in graveyard surprised and killed all the people I was travelling with.

Mewkat..... none DX

Back when I was 2*, I was running through a CW tunnel with someone, and found a love puppy. Neither of us knew what the heck it was, so we let it heal us, and went on without killing it.

The second is when I was 4* in a Jelly Farm aurora isles level with an Impostocube (buried screenshot somewhere)

Third was another gun puppy in RJP, But since I have a tactic to Calibur-charge a gun puppy in the top-left kill room, I only knew it was one because I saw a faint love aura.

Fourth was a Soul Jelly in around my 3rd ever FSC runn.

Fifth was a Mewkat in a Scarlet Fortress level.

Sixths was a love puppy during the Black Kat event we had this year. I got back together with some old friends and Annilaton found it and we killed it and, um... Well...

this happened.

I never looked at the description of a Love Locket, but that description makes me feel guilty of all the love puppies I slaughtered. But I have no regrets murdering mewkats >:D
