WHO ARE YOU AND WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS THREAD?
Hello, I am your little Pandafishie and I have been playing Spiral Knights since June 2013. Although I have an assortment of costumes, I have never put in any real money unto the game. (I don't play the market, I don't have the time to do that @.@) I simply like cute things and Spiral Knights is very adorable. Lastly, I made this thread to point out the funnies and cute knights I sometimes find the Haven. :) I also like to see what other people put together since I don't know all you guys! (Let's just say my friend's list is nowhere near full, half way full, or even a quarter full)

Ah, thank you for this. This makes things much more organized and easier to navigate.

As for my opinions, I figured I may just post them here as opposed to going to each individual post that has been put up recently.

Microbolt
Pretty typical costume, honestly. Though, the crown and the crest are a nice touch of light blue, giving the costume a little more variety. I feel as though the back may be a little too cluttered, though. You kind of lose the scarf in the mess of the dragon wings, spikes, and cat tail. I'd give this about a 7/10.

I've always found it a little bit difficult to coordinate the Medieval Helm (I think that's the name for it) with any of the other armours found within the game. The greys don't quite suit the blues of the armour itself, but, this costume is rather unique. The plus eyes also look great with the helm, and your personal colour is works well with the colour scheme. I do feel as though it's a little drab, though, but that may be because of the fact that you haven't slapped on any accessories yet. Additionally, the shield kind of clashes with everything else, but, most shields generally do, so it's forgivable. 7/10.

I really, really like the combination of the Garnet Chapeau and the Vog Cub Coat. I also quite like how you decided to stick to a particular theme when designing your costume. However, while I feel as though the purples pop when coordinated with the harsh reds, oranges and blacks, it seems a little out of place. In addition to this, I do not really like the goggles, but, honestly, I just don't like most of the eye-based accessories anyway. Otherwise, great job. 8/10

Wow, Datast, that's a fantastic outfit. I hadn't noticed how well the Chapeau of the Garnet Rose matched with volcanic gear. It looks great with that volcanic Vog Armor with the volcanic wings. I and your choice of sword is excellent. Even your shield matches well with your personal violet color. And the flame aura just brings it all together perfectly, Nicely done!

i actually wear this as gear...
sheildless, full mad (with a total of freeze med and peircing low uvs) and a damage med perk. no trinks yet. kinda working on health and damage trinks so i can do a MSI perk...

My Costume(s)

One thing I don't understand is why Heavy Sarongs are the cheapest. Just look how adorable it is!

But when fun in the sun isn't the way to run, it's not too hard to recognize my standard looks. I love the look so much, you could say it's good! Great! Awesome! Outstanding! Amazing! And all I did was press A.

There's nothing wrong with looking back to the past. Save for the wings, I was in love with this look back in the days of Tier 2 Lockdown. Nothing more insulting than being smacked down by a twin-tailed Recon with a Spur who doesn't know what they're doing.

Yet there's times where I just feel the need to mix it up, try something new. Even if it's not very practical, it looks decent. But wait! Effective costumes on a budget? Sure thing. Just don't try going overboard.

Not in the mood for cutesy stuff? Want something a little more cool? Well, it's not exactly that, but I'd say it's pretty smokin'.

Error: Style Required For Process

So... I can hardly believe I was convinced to do this, but due to a friend's incessant stream of requests, I've ended up here with a photo of myself. I don't much care personally what people think of my looks, but one can only hear so many cries of "But you look cool!" or "Come on, why can't you?" before one is driven to preventative actions. As such, rate at your leisure, I expect fair judgment as anyone would, but my attachment to this whole situation is left with the image. *grumbles away*

What an interesting mix, that's for sure. The wiki is down for now, so I can't really visualize it very well.. Do you have a screenshot perhaps? (Like previewed from the AH, or another) Malachite is quite neon compared to the Deadly Viruslisk's shades (as I do remember). It might look a tad awkward do to the off between the different hues of green.
But then again, I'd really have to see both before making a final verdict. But for now I'd say it's a no.

Lately I've really been digging this costume.

I used to look like this, but now that I changed my color to Cyan I look like this. Doesn't look quite as good as it used to, but I'm pretty sure that you get the point already: I'm kinda broke when it comes to accessories. xD

I swear, if I could add Ancient Wings and an Iron Wolf Tail to the second outfit I would start wearing it a lot more.

I think your current one looks great^^ Possibly because I've seen one too many wolvers in my day. But, if you like it then that's all that matters :) Cyan is a terrific color. (It's mine as well hehe)

If you're looking to budget for accessories, you sort of have to set goals to yourself. That's how I do it. You don't really want to go BROKE, so you have to have a set amount to begin with, say, 40k CR, then you find one accessory that you REALLY want. Look at the current value and judge for yourself if you need it NOW, or later (if it's expensive). You could divide your time into "crown time" so then your efforts are more spread out versus all at once. Some crowns for accessories, others for other things.

Protip: Never spend all your CR. Ever. (Personally, I have a certain number of CR that I have to earn before I spend, otherwise I'd be broke lol. But again, that's just how I do things and it's worked out great for me.)
