Okie heres my evil strategy. Stand outside of the other team's base as a recon and spam CTR Max Voltaic Tempests. The strikers come "booming" out and they are met with a nasty, shocky surprise.

Except for the ones that have Shock resistance armor. A cool idea, but it'd be tough to cover all the base exits too.

Other than the fact this has been done to death, it's just plain bad sportsmanship.
You don't spawn camp. Ever.

What Feyi said. People do this all the time. And yes, it is very annoying to strikers (and everyone else). It's also terrible sportsmanship, and pretty lame to boot.

Actually, better idea

Striker Bomber + Electron Vortex + Swagger Storm + Ash of Agni + Venom Veiler + camp spam = everyone's dead, dave.

You're welcome.

You must not understand the striker mentality

If you don't stop them before they can start then you will have bigger problems to deal with.

How does this have to do with strikers? You target everyone coming out of that base.
It's still bad sportsmanship. Or do you want the dreadful 'strikers' to just spam polaris on your base in return.

If you want to stop strikers, bomb at a cap, and actually help your team.

Alternatively...

Put a bunch of fire and shock bombs south of their position so strikers will speed into their blind-spot and get shocked. Usually they'll retreat to go heal and come back with a gun but it's always fun to see a striker zip onto a bomb and spasm in the middle of it.

i think every player that's big on LD has a shock resistant set.
I have 4 different sets:
BKC shock immune set
Skolver shock immune set
Merc bombing set
Gunner shock immune set

Have fun trying to bomb on that dude..

I prefer recon skulling strikers then retreat and watch them spam shield cancel frantically.

I prefer using only Sudaruska charges and missing repeatedly as they go straight past me and slap me with a sword.

Eh, not really. I'm"big" on playing LD and only have Poison High/Med Snarby and Ele Max/Normal Med Chaos (So no shock immunity). You just gotta dodge dat OP Shock status. VTs are easy to avoid and most people clearly can't aim an Storm Driver. The only true source of Shock is Pola spam, hurr.

you can bomb if you want to
you can leave your team behind
'cuz your team can't cap, and if they won't camp
then i'm going in dry

Ret just showed you, OP, why that won't work. Also, as a bomber myself, i have a set for buckets like you. I hope YOU have full shock res, or stagger res, or freeze res. I do. I love taking down arrogant vt users.

Also, if you camp, you can expect to be camped. Best get spending on some resistance.

Use nitronome vs ret just to

Use nitronome vs ret just to troll him cause no set is immune to that. Also Perro, I don't VT spam base camps but if I tried would you enjoy the challenge of taking down a set with the immunity to all the statuses you listed ? :D

@surge

Id imagine vv/aoa/dr would at least make you feel uncomfortable.

As you say though, it's not something i would want to do (base camp)

Lastly, i truly enjoy facing great bombers. The only way to improve is to constantly fight those who are better than you, and while I'm good there are many better (i would imagine)

VV? Oh yeah that would

VV? Oh yeah that would actually sting. AoA, nope not at all uncomfortable. Dr(dark ret?), place it right and I'm dead. Also ret, wait till the bomber update in 2076 when bombers will rek you.

On a serious note though, the whole point of bombs is area denial and minimizing the damage you get from bombs isn't going to stop that, meaning that a skilled enough bomber should in theory be able to kill you. That being said a skilled enough striker can take down any bomber(if he's more skilled ofc).

@Killing Bombers

A good bomber doesn't play to kill. A good bomber plays to stall. If they can keep two people busy while they're keeping a point and their team has more caps than the other, the bomber's team is catching up or gaining a lead in terms of points. Therefore, you should not necessarily think "Can I kill this bomber and take their point?". A better idea is "Is this the only point we need to acquire or should I go use my time in another battle/cap?". If it takes you a minute to kill a bomber, you're not doing it right.

Why thank you all for commenting :D

I tried it out a little and its kinda better in theory. A lot of strikers will blast through and to be honest I felt like I really wasn't helping the team a lot although there were times where I would catch 4 or 5 people in a blast who were coming out of the base and I sent them all back in I have not been met with too much shock resistance, maybe only once or twice, nothing a Gran Faust can't handle though. Also, gunners will usually just wait inside the base and come out with charged Storm Drivers, although as Mushy-Bucket said those are pretty easy to dodge. Even though many bases are large enough for people to go out on other sides and avoid the mist, many strikers will just burst out not expecting any immediate confrontation and land right in the mist. I found it easy to sometimes get a chain of 3 going as a Recon which made the mist harder to go avoid. Another thing I found that has really been a plus is that even when people do bypass the mist many will come back and try to defend the base; more often than not I will die at the hands of three gunners who have all wasted their time trying to kill me right in front of their own base. The Recon's ability to disappear truly shines here as speed is of little help when trying to avoid the gunner's shots and keep the chain going. The power to turn invisible makes it easier to keep the chain going without being caught. I must mention that I have not actually tried the following strategy due to my lack of skill though please let me know if it would work :P When paired with a polaris (yeah I said it O_o). You would plant a bomb or two and then shield and sneak behind the gunners or whoever is trying to kill you and then knock them into the tempest's mist cloud with the polaris shots. Thats about it! Thanks all, Have a wonderful day.

Also, anyone got any strategies they'd like to share?
