at what level does a 5* become equal damage to a L10 4*?
question about 5* weapons
Lvl 1 for stratums 1-4.
After that, I'm not 100% sure, but it is around where Bopp says.
Thanks guys just wondering because i want to heat my hail driver enough so it doesnt suck in LD
Acheron is always stronger than silent nightblade iirc
Otherwise, Bopp is right.
For Hail Driver, there are more projectiles on the charge, so it's worth it.
The biggest problem with hail driver is that it's own bouncy/reflecty projectiles break it's own freeze.
It is still a better weapon for FSC than Magma driver
Sorry to burst your bubble, but all weapons are reverted to level 1 in LD
"reverted to level 1 in LD"
The joys of visual misinformation.
Playing with a level 1 vs. a level 10 weapon shows a big difference during play. We all know the display lies.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but all weapons appear to be level 1 in LD if the player you're inspecting has inspect off.
There, fixed it.
So does that explain why I die in two hits from any weapon in LD? Because my chaos cloak is level 10 and my chaos hood lv 7? And have trinkets?
^The heating of armor gives rather pathetic defense boosts. Keep it al lvl 5 for the extra health, then forget about it.
Also, people were referring to weapons: a level 1 GF in lockdown is like hitting someone with a soggy piece of fettuccine. A level 10 gf is like hitting someone with a smoldering hot pot used to cook fettuccine.
Oh yeah, the weapon display isnt broken, it is just a default display for any weapon's info. The same window appears if you are checking the weapon in the AH or SD. It is intenlentionally a level 1 pic, it doesnt necessarily reflect the level of the weapon that the player is using.
@Fettuccine: Ok, helms & armor get alchemized immediately, but don't get heated much until after weapons. I follow you there. What about shields? Do shields benefit much from heating?
shield get almost no benefit from heating, since the 70-80% of their defense is actually status defense, that doesn't go up with heating.
I would like to say that armors should at least be at level 5 for the health boost. you never know when you'll need two more pips of health.
Heat level 8. Sometimes maybe heat level 7. I can't find the thread right now.
But keep in mind that the 5-star weapon may have other advantages, such as a charge attack with more projectiles or explosions. I usually advise people to upgrade to 5 stars when they have enough Radiants to heat the weapon to at least heat level 5, and preferably heat level 7 or 8.
