I really hate the fact that there's 14 gate symbols AND 13 different color combinations (not to mention for TWO tiers), that's a crazy amount of combinations to unlock when I first started playing I was all happy I didn't have to pay a fee anymore for this one gate figuring I'd only have 13 more to unlock for that tier until I realized that it's just for that certain symbol/color combination that may not come back up for a year.
Wish they would get rid of the gate fees, we're already paying enough per floor why charge an entrance fee especially when joining pub games blind is a total gamble or even make it so that if you unlock a symbol it's unlocked no matter the color.

Uh, I expected it to reset your clearance even if it happens to pick the same combination of color/symbol again? Since it's a new gate with different strata setup.

It shouldn't reset and if it does what's the whole point in unlocking them if the gate doesn't stay up long enough to really benefit from it. I've unlocked around a whole five gates so far and none of them have come up again so I'm just waiting to see unless someone can confirm.
Gates disappear after a while. There will never be a time when all gates are open.
