They are fast, they hit fairly hard, not to mention they can damage you at anytime in their attack animation. They are pretty much shadow damage glop drops at a much faster speed.

With no elemental bombs (that do damage as reliable as DBB or Dark retribution) chittering burrows are easily some of the more dangerous compounds.

When a horde of scarabs all fly at you, you can only run or die. They are like bullets that can hit you, not disappear, and keep hitting you.

Short of a 4 man team of deadshot or shadowsun sets with Argent peacemakers I don't feel safe going in those compounds.

Please nerf the scarabs, they are just too much to deal with.

Wait until the Apocrean

Wait until the Apocrean event, that was a mess with nobody killing the scarabs they release.
Me:Oh hey some lost souls
*gets jumped on by 50 scarabs*

No.

Scarabs are not that threatening. A dark briar barrage makes quick work of them, stunlocking them fairly easily. In general, large radius bombs are the weapon of choice for compounds.

Now glop drops on the other hand... They aren't too threatening either but holy helium balloon are they good at killing me.

Do some more danger missions on elite. Enemies will feel easier because you most likely will have adapted to tougher and more demanding situations.

scarabs arent too bad, since

scarabs arent too bad, since they always fly straight, dust bunnies however...perhaps its the lag but they seem incredibly good at chomping knights

and again..

all compound stuff are bad~
not only that.. small reward and sometime box not respawn (woot)
but im more scared to glop spike rather than scarab for lot of reason, they come with large group and their walk are just too deadly -_-' you have to kill to pass them in some area unlike other compound baby which you can just dodge or sliding through them.

Glop drops, Dustbuns and Grave Scarabs aren't that difficult to deal with. They're harder than most standard enemies, but they're doable. For me, it's the lack of boxes that makes compounds so scary.

"Short of a 4 man team of deadshot or shadowsun sets with Argent peacemakers "

That sounds horrid, I'd leave the party TBH. I'd feel more endangered with 3 others using AP than I would from 3 people just spamming Polaris/Supernova.

"Please nerf the scarabs, they are just too much to deal with."

Scarabs are actually one of the easier of the three trash mobs, there's no reason for them to be nerfed. They're easy to dodge and most bombs make quick work of them. The hardest part about them is forgetting they have an active hitbox at the end of an attack, and you getting greedy for some quick sword damage.

I don't think they are any

I don't think they are any more OP than devilite bullets. Their strength comes in numbers. Kill them quickly before they create a huge swarm and it isn't that bad.

I was never comfortable when

I was never comfortable when dealing with shadow type monsters, bombing works but with no shadow resistance on any bomb armor (short of kat event) and no reliable elemental damaging bombs, most bombers (like me) try to steer clear of chittering burrow compounds.

I mentioned Argent peacemakers due to how they would work well with the plasma capacitor (VT never shows up for me in arcade) I use.

Hopefully the gunner update will provide us with a good elemental autogun line (plz no pepperbox remake).

An autogun could very well

An autogun could very well get you killed if you mis-shoot while a scarab swarm comes into your face. Just because autoguns have insane damage output does not mean every damage type should have one because we don't want guns to end up like swords where it's brandishes for everything. If you need a gun for scarabs, just use one of the already existing elemental guns like drivers or (so help me God) pulsars.

Im not a bomber but when i dont have a choice to skip those "chittering burrows" compounds or even in apocrean event, i always use the Electron Vortex (i bought one with CTR med for 6k ce i was kinda lucky i guess) oh boy you cant believe how nice are those bombs against those scarabs.

once i got them in that vortex i either:

-use glacius charge
-use divine avenger hits
-use seerus rockethammer hits.

well its up to you which thing work for you even cant be those weapons you can try other bombs or another weapon like triglav / sudaruska, or well if you like you can keep spamming that bomb just be sure to keep an eye on them so you dont get hit when they try to hit once you plant another bomb. if they already come at you be sure to have enough space to charge the bomb and place it so they fall directly in the vortex.

the only thing that annoys me on these compounds (and i hate so much when compounds just give you 1 or 2 boxes) its when scarabs just already stopped their flying and you still get damage so you can only get near of them once they really start walking in the floor.

So you don't like scarabs eh?

basically what you do, is do what everyone else does. Wait for the elev to change. Nobody likes compounds due to them being really hard and giving a bad payout.

My thought on waiting to skip levels is that my time is a resource to be managed wisely. If the level in question is going to jeopardize my payout, it is worth paying some of my time into to get rid of. If it is not, then it is worth going through just to go faster to a level that will benefit me. So if the compounds is before D26 or so (which has significantly less radiants than D27/D28) and there is no significantly better level on the rotation, then I'll go for it. If the level is worse than the alternatives on D27/D28, I will almost always wait.
