I need help with an Anti-Fiend Gun. I play high mobile, and I'm trying to run with 3 guns. I actually really like the two Antigua paths, The Argent Peacemaker and... The shadow one, I don't remember its name.
But that leaves an issue with Beast and Fiend, with no piercing. Looking through, I can't find a single high-mobile piercing gun. There's the Needle line, and the Magnus line. Both have 2 shot clips, and both force you to stand still. This lets me down CONSTANTLY, because no matter how hard I look for an opening, in the instant that I shoot one bullet, Any devilite will use their equally high mobility to swarm me and kill me.
As of the current, I only have 4 star gear, working (Slowly) on 5 star. However, as it happens, even in T3, I have no real issues with anyone. Every other enemy has respectable checks and balances that I can deal with. But its strictly the fiend that I can't deal with.
The biggest offender to this is the Greaver line. If there are even 2 of these, then I can be completely wiped out. They're nearly impossible to shield bump, and even if you do, they just move back to you instantly. if I even TRYING to attack them, then I'm standing still, and I get eaten alive.
My current equipment consists of Sunset gear, with the Silver Six, Black hawk, and Mega Magnus. I don't have any issue with the first two, but its the piercing gun that I have trouble with. Are there any other gunners who know what a better alternative would be? I want to keep my high mobility style, and though the beasts are easy enough to deal with, I just... I have no idea what to do with the Fiends. Please help?
The thing with Fiends in general is that they have a completely different way of fighting than other monsters in the game, making them my favorite enmy, and also my most loathsome one.
For Greavers, it's generally a good idea to stay in a corner and swipe the first swing of a Flourish or Snarble Barb line repeatedly, but if you don't have those, a Blitz Needle charge isn't a bad alternative. A level 10 Mega Magnus I believe can disrupt Gorgos, and a Blitz charge can also take care of a Silkwing, assuming you have a decent team to distract the healed monsters.
As for Devilites, remember that they will almost always run after you, so if all else fails, retreating and shooting a Magnus (which is too fast for the Fiend to dodge usually) can reliably, if not quickly wear them away. As you get used to their attacking pattern, you might want to begin kiting around them, using shield cancelling and weapon switching to fire a steady stream of bullets.
