I wouldn't know about last year as I was not around at that time but I would guess that now, you would get around 200-400. Another thing it depends on is what difficulty it is set to (Normal, Advanced or Elite) which determines how many Sigils you get per killing one Lost Soul. I still belive it cannot be perfectly calculated as almost everything that appears is random. Sorry for not helping. :-/

We need more math!
If you really want to, try to bring Skepticraven into this thread as they love to play with data. As said before, there are a lot of factors that go into the floors, but a single floor on elite difficulty, even without killing every soul (which can prove troublesome with the harvester following you) should net you at least 200 sigils with a mediocre team. With a good team, you might net in well over 300.
I think it varies just because the puzzles are entirely random. I'm not sure about the Lost Souls, though I think they might be random aswell.
