Did you know that on the Gate Map for The Shroud Of Apocrea mission, it is deeper than The Core station in the clockworks [Apocrea's Departure level is D30 while The Core (station) is at D29] ? Maybe this could be an insight to new content?

I've always assumed the core and the Nexus were in two completely different realms.
After all, you ARE kidnapped into the Apocrea by shadowy hands that come out of nowhere...

SL's are the equivalent of D30.
That being said, the core is after them (+sanctuary).
It seems as though there can be a different distribution of distance between depths so that there could be more or less than 29 depths to reach the core.

At D29 it is just an observation deck of the core, you are not at the level of the core or inside the core.
No. This isn't core and never meant to. It's just number.
You just can't go into core via elevator.
