My friend's been doing runs with randoms every now and then and he told me how so many people want to skip the Arena levels. Which we both find really dumb. So we decided to record a video showing that they're not as bad as people think.
First of all, though, I'd like to say that, from what I've seen so far, the Shroud of the Apocrea levels can give a lot more Radiants than FSC. People are always complaining that they can't get Radiants fast enough and have to grind FSC and it's boring and wah wah wah but then when they actually have a chance to farm up a decent amount of Radiants they just blow it off. :I
There's also the fact that the Tunnels and Arenas give the party some much-needed Vitas and Pills so people can actually survive for a decent amount of time in the Plateau.
Second: Here's a video of the two of us going through the fire arena (which, IMO, is the most dangerous one available because of the fire). You can see what gear we use there; it works well for the Arenas, Clockwork Tunnels and Plateau levels. You can also see that we don't have any super expensive Max UVs, so the only expenses are the actual crafting of the gear.
The Arenas are only "hard" because most people only focus on crafting a handful of things instead of making their Arsenal varied.
inb4 "What about people with laaaag?". Those actually have a decent excuse because SK is such a doodoo head when it comes to lag.
Yes, I agree. But there are many threads about this topic. Many people have pointed out that the arenas pay well, especially in Radiants. Many people have pointed out that you can use the "junk levels" to get vitapods and pills.
