As of recent, the Core has begun leaking all kinds of energy into the Clockworks, super-charging anything and anyone it comes into contact with. The Gremlins are worried about this event, and even worse, Lieutenant Vaelyn has been getting readings of a massive amount of shadow energy within the Core. Lieutenant Barrus has requested a group of Knights to descend to the Core and find some way to stop the leakage before it's too late.

Also of note are several strange beings that roam the Clockworks, slaughtering anything they come across. They seem to be protecting something of value, as each of them are found roaming only the depths prior to the Tier checkpoints.

Dark Core Rising will be an Action-Adventure FanFic. Since there is only one team this time around (with the maximum members I'm setting as 6), I can only take 5 more characters from the original roster (or new characters, whichever floats your boat) for the team. So, returning characters need a link to the original application. Aside from that, I'll need one more Immortal Psychopath to use. So like it was applied before, First Come, First Serve for spots. Anyone after that will be a Third-Party character.

About: Kale joined the team after his own team perished in the assault on the grand arsenal. He is a very protective knight, having taken the guardian vow. Putting himself in between others and danger is what he does best. He is confident in his ability to protect the team, but worries he cannot all of the time.

Special Ability: BioSphere: Kale can create a energy sphere that is 4 meters in diameter. It protects from projectiles the size of a gun puppy shot or smaller. Larger things phase through it. The sphere has a slight regenerative factor. But it takes a long time to see a lasting effect. Lasts for 5 minutes. Cooldown time: 30 minutes

Now that I got that brief period of Psychosis out of the way, I'll bring back Dervenin's app from the previous thread.

Name: Dervenin

Appearance: Stocky, Well built, a few scars dot his body, namely one running the length of his left cheek, hair is slicked back, spiky and short.
Gear: Avenger, Faust and Monolith*, , Armor is a modified set of Heavy Demo Armor, trading in it's bonuses and some of it's normal resistances, for an equal resistance to all elements, Traits are shared with his shield, which is designated as the 'Mighty Glacier' set. Additional metal plating over the entire set, Addition of large shoulder pauldrons, both of which display the Gremlin Emblem, Helmet has a Prismatic Mohawk, Heavy, Has a heavy country accent, but this hides a good deal of intelligence.

About: Dervenin is known as a traitor, and has severed all connections with the Spiral Order to pursue his own agenda, and a few years later, he was discovered assisting gremlin forces in many of their deployments, such as repelling knights and speeding up deconstruction of levels, whilst also assisting knight parties, usually appearing out of no where and for no reason. No one knows what his goal is, but the fact that he is a traitor and that he still successfully resists attempts to bring him in, mark him as a high priority target. He tends to seen in emberlight, assisting in any way he can, and as a vendor selling things he has obtained over his travels.

Personality: Stubborn, Reasonable, Hopeful, Friendly enemy, Inspiring/Terrifying, Mellow, Loathing (The Spiral Order/Tikinzar and the Crimson Order's chains of command, he sees the two factions only as a careless bunch of monkeys, all too willing to send their soldiers to an inevitible demise, and as such intervenes in an attempt to minimise slaughter (We butcher them 5 to 1 ingame) he does not hate the footsoldier, only the general)

Special Ability: Dervenin bound his soul to his Avenger, allowing him to utilise abilities tied to it, such as morphing the sword into alternate heavy weapons, and flinging around the silhouette blades that line is known for, whislt a secondary bonus is that it essentially is that it is a Lock Circut.

About: Dervenin's companion/weapon, Monolith was formed purely by accident, and has relentlessly pestered Dervenin for the entirety of his existense, annoying and supporting him throughout his adventures. Loves to scream "DYNAMIC ENTRY!" whenever the situation is most fitting.

Name: Genevra
Rank/Title: Dark Mutation Guard
Species: Immoral Devilite

Gender: Female
Appearance: Has 2 dark wings where it arms where, it's legs are replaced by claws and tail is extended with sharp spikes at the end. The entire body is purple with dark lines all over the body. Eyes have eyelashes but the color is pure blue. At the tip of the claws are sharp spikes at the end.
Gear: Since she can't hold onto items, here are the attacks. Defense is the same as Snarbolax set.
Wing slash: Fly's towards the foe and slashes them with her claws.
Claw slash: Similar to Wing Slash but uses her claws. More damaging but if it misses, easier to attack her.

Personality: Silent, is unable to talk, likes to mess with anyone's minds, is known to be crazy and struggles to sleep.
Bio: Genevra was like any other Devilite, working hard, eating Dark Matter and trying to stop the mean gremlins from messing with knights or devilites. However, one day when the gremlin's attacked, Genevra got caught and fainted due to a tough battle. When she woke up, she was being experimented on by scientist gremlins.

The gremlin's experiments mutated Genevra which made weird mutations happen. The gremlins muttered to themselves when her arms changed into wings, her tail grew much longer and the thing that was most surprising was the fact her voice was gone. However, due to much experimenting, her body died and her soul was outside her body. Just then though, she got a request from an unknown source called "Shadow Devil Reshiva" and said "I can revive you so you and your body is alive but, you need to work for me! Do we have a deal?"

Genevra's soul nodded up and down to agree and her soul entered her body again and woke up. The darkness inside her from agreeing to the unknown source was so strong that Genevra broke out of her prison and she killed the gremlins that experimented on her. Genevra then flew to the location of the creature and worked for it ever since then

Special Ability: Oblivion Pulse - If Genevra eats enough Dark Matter and is attacked by anyone, she will release a pure dark pulse that deals immense damage to anyone even if they have shadow defense. Anyone who is hurt by this attack, Genevra recovers 75% health from the damage that was dealt. Requires 80 Dark Matter eaten and 1 hit by a foe to activate. Cooldown of 1 minute.

Species: Unknown, anatomy similar to Isorans

Gender: Male
Appearance: Tall, muscular frame; black sclera w/ fuschia irises and pupils
Gear: *Mothanes - A size-changing claymore similar in appearance to a Gran Faust without the aura. Arkhov can summon Swarms or a force field by stabbing the ground, and shoot ethereal blades at his prey.

About: Arkhov is almost completely insane, as a result he is highly unpredictable in any situation. He has a tendency to laugh to himself or out loud, and is skilled in both sword and hand-to-hand combat. Despite this, he is loyal to Shadow Devil Reshiva who made him immortal and respects Genevra, seeing her as a senior (since she was made into an immortal before him).

Arkhov was (emphasis on "WAS") a highly respected warrior of his time. His enemies all fell to him, and his comrades all adored his abilities in the war zone. However, this would all soon change when his family was assassinated along with the Lords he swore to protect. This drove him to madness, and he vowed revenge on all who stand before him.

Soon, Arkhov's life slowly grew shorter as he laid waste to those who saw him as noble. Reshiva became interested in him, and appeared before Arkhov one night. It promised him eternal life so long as Arkhov worked for it. He accepted the offer, and Genevra was summoned to rip his heart out. Since then, Arkhov worked for the Shadow Devil, constantly doing it's bidding as he quenches his bloodlust.

Special Ability: Shadow Chaos - Arkhov has the ability to manipulate Shadow energy and Darkness to make blasts of energy and to increase his overall strength. On top of that, he can use this to make large body parts and force fields.

Gear: Valkyrie set created to only fits on Ex-Genesis. Thunders, swords similar to final flourish that inflict shock statues, it is only available for dual yielder from the Valkyries Race.

About: No one knows who he really is, except for the Queen of all Valkyries Race and his squad troops. The only thing that others kow is that Ex-Genesis is one of the few males in the Valkyries Race.

Special Abilitiy: Rageous Blitz- Performing a 360 spin using Thunders to create an inpenetrable field of force known as "Tornado".

So is Ex-Genesis part of the Team, a Third Party Character, or an Immortal Psychopath (the bad guys)? If he's one of the former two, he can only have 30 stat points, and if he's an Immortal, it doesn't seem plausible that a Valkyrie of such authority would have given in to the shadows and become one of the Psychopaths.

Species: Immortal Isorian
Gear: Mercurial Mail and Helm. Two electric whips, a Storm Driver, can also shoot lightning out of his hands

About: Cerok had always been mad and obsessed with electricity. As a matter of fact, his solution to everything to everything is to "electrocute it!" Because of this, he was an outcast, but Cerok wasn't bothered by that at all. He had more free time to try and harness the power of electricity. One day, he somehow built a machine that he swore would let him control electricity. He turned it on and then he mysteriously was teleported to whatever the thunder god of Cradle's name is domain, who said he was impressed by Cerok's experiments, and was willing to grant Cerok immortality and complete control over electricity, somehow not aware that he was mad. Cerok, at the offer for control over electricity and not at all for immortality, agreed. But after the thunder god gave him both, Cerok left and started causing mayham on Cradle with his immortality and control over lightning. The thunder god afterwards was dissapointed in himself. ((Honestly, I really couldn't think of anything that good))

Personality: Absolutly mad, someone who shoots first, asks questions later

Special Ability: Overcharge: Uses a SoL to increase his electrical powers and boost speed by 200% and give him a higher chance to shock for 5 seconds. 2 minute cooldown, costs a SoL

Appearance: Average height. Short, blonde hair, that's never neat. Blue eyes.

Gear: Iron Slug, Nameless Poncho (no helm), Recon Cloak.

Bio: Blake is a gunslinger, in case you haven't guessed. A very good one, in fact. Most of the shots from his trusty hand-cannon would connect with skulls. For some reason though, he's never really been noticed by others. Maybe it's because he doesn't stand out much. Yeah, probably. Yearning for fame and fortune, he set out for the rank of Vanguard. Didn't quite work out. Joining the Team was the next best thing, so he did that.

Personality: Jokes around a lot. Movements are casual. One to whine about uncomfortable situations. As soon as he sees an incoming battle, he cloaks away.

Special Ability: Recon Cloak. He uses it, and stuff.

Stats:
Combat - 8 - He rarely misses, but he takes a while to line up a shot while cloaked. He makes sure his teammates aren't in too much trouble.
